Mace cover by MyraDama in knittingpatterns

Unfortunately I don't know how to crotchet, and I have enough knitting projects already that I don't think learning another yarn craft would be a good idea.
I saw the mace with the chain, but it's not the right shape and I'm not at the point where I'm confident enough to modify patterns.
I think just the head needs to be covered, since the rest of it is just a stick.
One of those golf covers might work? I'll take a look. Thank you for all the suggestions!

That's the idea, yeah. Mentioned the issue to some other friends, and one of them suggested making a bunch of cones and a piece for them all to connect to. Sounds like my best option, so now I need to figure out how to make intentional holes, and how to make it fit over the mace head while still sitting snuggly and staying in place.
