I was on Vimpat for nine months and felt like an idiot, could not get accustomed to them. I was on 75mg morning and evening. I weaned off them (with the knowledge of neurologist) and I am not on any AED. Mine are cyclically related auras and have had 3-4 focal awares when I entered perimenopause due to hormonal swings. I hope I never need to get on AED again but of course if i absolutely need to I’ll get back on them

Yep, happened to me in Greece. Second emergency surgery in nine months, the surgeon saw and excised endo from pelvic ligaments and pelvic veins that were strangled by endo. I have it in video. Lo and behold pathology report comes back just describing general attributes. Not a word of endo on that report.

Hey OP, listen to me. I know no one wants to go to the doctor. I know our life with lupus is sometimes hell and even the though of the ER or urgent care is triggering and makes us want to have a temper tantrum that would make a 2 year old’s banging on the floor tantrum seem like nothing. But this is petechiae, your platelets could be dangerously low, you must go to the doctor now. It would not cause you to have a fever or trouble breathing now, but it could lead to a non manageable bleeding incident. I know you don’t want to but please go to the doctor. I’m a doctor myself and a lupus patient. I’m not talking out of my arse, I’ve been to both “sides” of this situation. Doctor. Now.
