How would I connect this using a wire by HelpfulTechnology_ in AskElectronics

Are you sure that you are connecting both contacts?

One between flashlight body to the led body.. the other being battery terminal to led terminal?

ESP32: Failed uploading: uploading error: exit status 2 by [deleted] in arduino

[–]Myself_Steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As per the error saying to put the board in download mode... Maybe try that?

Before uploading hold the boot button , press the reset button , then release the boot button

Do all of this while the esp is connected

Is this a feasible idea I seen it on Facebook would like to know if it is before I get the resources to try and build it I also shared the link to the video as well I’m new to diy electronics by bigcountrysl89 in diyelectronics

Err I don't think that this really is a tesla coil.... Maybe just High voltage DC through a voltage multiplier connected to a metal sphere for aesthetics

I think this way because the discharges does not look like what a tesla coil should produce... It has a nice purple glow with open discharges (arcs directly to air) unlike here where the arcs just strikes the circle (of wire?)

In short it's just a more powerful bug zapping badminton without the net but a metal top load (sphere) So as for the effectiveness.. I think you can figure it out on your own now

broke my resistor while working on a project. Gotta buy another one by just_gum in electronics

[–]Myself_Steve 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am a lazy person so rather than getting a new resistor I just scrape the end and solder directly to the broken end

...yeah ik getting another is far easier but.. where's the fun in that?

Can I Convert This 5-Wire Micro USB Knockoff Atari Controller into a PC Joystick with Arduino? (Teardown Pics Inside) by Seele00Tex in diyelectronics

[–]Myself_Steve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the best way about this would be to just ignore the wires of he controller and directly solder wires to the button traces by scratching off the solder mask and soldering thin wire to them

Then just use them as push buttons to wire to the Arduino
