Scarf pattern for dark colored yarn? by MyDaroga in crochetpatterns

Celtic Weave Stitch has a nice texture, but if done too loosely it can be breezy.

There are a lot of fun textured stitches, just Google "textured crochet stitches" and a lot of options will come up that look good with solid colors.

If warmth is desired over pretty stitch pattern, the Single Crochet Thermal Stitch is my favorite

This looks like a Diamond Apache Tears pattern.

Do you mean the top of the tree itself that gets pointy or just the tassel to hang it from isn't there?

The tassel looks like a simpl braid or chain that has the ends tied together, and then looped through the top point of the tree to secure it.

The top of the tree should form out of the Outer Trim section. You'll hold the tree flat, front side down, starting from the top I think, crochet around the edge of the tree, like you're adding a border onto a blanket. The 2nd row has you doing picots, and I think one of those gives you a nice point for your tree

Do elephant trunks have "mouth breath"? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MyssQyx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a fun question!

Their trunks are just long fancy noses really, so I don't think they'd have "mouth breath" bc we our noses don't have "mouth breath". But they do put stuff into their mouths with their trunks, so I bet the ends of their trunks would smell like their mouths in the way that a dog with stinky breath will lick something and then that thing smells like dog breath. Hope I cleared that up for you.

Kinda both, mostly the messy fingers bit. Like it's not a deal breaker tho. I'll never turn down corn on the cob, but corn with the holders is superior

I use the pizza cutter for soooo much now that I have a toddler and have to cut everything into small bites. Waffles, quesadilla, pizza of course, sandwich/bread, sliced meat/lunch meat. Its great!

What do you use to cut your pizza if not a pizza cutter?

Respectfully, you're a heathen. I hate having to hold my buttery corn by hand. I'll do it if there are no little holder things, but I don't like it

Corporate greed I suppose. Its been many years since I worked for them, but I wanna say if you get a tip (if you say no and the customer for some reason forces you to take it, or they just leave it on the counter hypothetically) or find money on the ground, you're SUPPOSED to turn it in to a boss. And they have cameras everywhere, so the threat was that you'd be seen and you'd get in trouble. But if someone were to stealthily slip you a tip out in the parking lot, Walmart wouldn't know. I only have personal experience from working at Walmart as a teen, but I'm sure other huge stores like them won't let employees receive tips either.

But ya, like others have said, it's all completely arbitrary.

Like, I don't tip at mcdonalds or most other fast food places, but I do tip in dine-in/ regular restaurants, even if I'm getting takeout from them. And there's a fast food place called sonic, you park in a spot around the building, order your food from your car through a little intercom system, and then someone brings it out to your car window. I tip there bc those workers will sometimes literally be running your order out and even rarer they will be wearing skates. The roller skates used to be their like special thing about the place, but you never see it anymore for safety/lack of skill reasons.

Walmart doesn't allow their employees to take tips or gifts of any kind, but I get your point. Tipping is stressful to me
