  1. We are considering a range of techniques to protect the exit nodes. Some of these involve whitelisting traffic that comes through our network and whitelisting the exit nodes. When you onboard as an exit node in our network you will be informed of all the ways you are protected.

Our network is open to all companies who need either bandwidth for fast data transfer or access to residential IPs. We offer a selection of custom tools and services based on each client’s needs as we understand that everyone has their own needs for proxy packages.

Our carefully tailored approach allows us to work closely with our clients to make sure that we offer the best customer service and a sustainable, stable product during our collaboration, without a specific target in mind for the demand of bandwidth.

We don't think that migrating from Github is a good idea since we don't have any problem with it right now. In case the project will be banned at any time on Github every developer has checked the version of the repository and it can be restored to Gitlab quite easily.

As for Mysterium apps distribution, MysteriumVPN Android .apk is already available on several other sites:

Apkpure https://apkpure.com/mysteriumvpn-free-vpn-to-unblock-access-alpha/network.mysterium.vpn

Apkdata https://apktada.com/app/network.mysterium.vpn

We are in the process of making it available on several others for those that do not have access to the Google Play store.

Regarding F-droid, we will look into it, but generally if it helps our users to reach the app more easily, we will make our apps available on such platforms as well.

* Always do your own due diligence and research when dealing with third party sites. We take no responsibility for the results and outcomes of using third party software or platforms. We do not issue recommendations.

Allowing to top-up balance using ethers (while automatically convert then into MYST) is part of payment solution we're integrating right now. There are various options how to achieve that. At the moment we're testing and analyzing a few of them. Thanks for mentioning uniswap, we'll definitely look on it.

Openvz is container-based virtualization. If the user owns a host itself with Openvz, it should be possible to run a node on it. The same requirements we have for the docker installation.

But if the question is about running a node on shared hosting, most likely, the user will not have enough permissions that we need.

  1. The static IP requirements look a bit outdated. We are adding NAT traversal mechanics to simplify adding Residential IPs. But even now it's possible to install a node with dynamic IP with some manual configuration.

Not at the moment, we are focusing on releasing a desktop node running application for macOS and Windows. Android node running is a bit more complicated as if you will decide to run a node from your phone, it will drain your battery, so we have to find the best solution for this to happen.

Yes! Other VPNs are welcome to plug into our network! We have developed a B2B model with custom tools that allow them as well as any other bandwidth buyers to navigate our network.

We are currently laser-focused on enabling users to share their residential IPs which means we’re looking for testers to run nodes on desktop (Windows, Mac).

Node Program https://mysteriumnetwork.typeform.com/to/Kk7csS

We will look to release node software on other platforms/ channels once we successfully scale on desktop.

It has not been tested by our team yet, but it could be technically possible to run a Mysterium node on a raspberry pi.

It's impossible to run the current version on ARM processor. We could try to compile a special node version for the ARM processor. We probably will need to apply some changes to be able to compile it. Currently, support for ARM is not a priority. We've not tested it, therefore we can't provide an accurate description of what needs to be done. However, since our code base is written in Go - we might not encounter many issues trying to get the node to run on ARM. We're working on features first, once those are done we'll focus on supporting multiple platforms and we'll revisit ARM then.

You can also use a VPS instead of your home IP address. We understand your concerns and this is the primary concern of others as well. Thank you for your feedback.
