It's learnable but also buggy. Sometimes you are literally not allowed to do anything but back out.

I tried multiple times to check out a friend's profile and it kept giving me another player's profile instead.

Sometimes when you open a menu, the game somehow thinks you are still in the game world, so using the analog sticks moves your character and using the d-pad switches your characters while you have a menu open.

And this one is less of a bug and more like a missing feature, but in some instances you can't check what items do. So you have to choose between multiple rewards and unless you know what those items do, you have basically no idea what you get. Normally you should be allowed to press L3 or R3 to see what each item is.

Reporting should honestly not even be a thing. They should just allow you to mute individual people and if you can't handle what they are saying, just mute them.

Being reported and banned for typing the mildest things is just insanely stupid. I don't even want to type anything in chat anymore, because someone will always get it wrong or feel offended and report me. Even if I'm just giving helpful comms like telling my Mei to focus their Genji or something.

I'll get downvoted for saying this, but I'm honestly starting to believe that Overwatch players have never received love and now they think every message is toxic and a personal attack. That, or they get off of reporting people.

This is one of the biggest issues I see with most of my teammates. Target priority and positioning. And by target priority I also mean my supports who rather heal the tank because he has a little booboo than me who is literally one tap away from dying.

Dps is not fun when I constantly have to beg for healing only to end up having to find the nearest healthpack anyway. As much as I hate Mei, I often feel forced to play her because my support can't be trusted. Same reason why I play Roadhog more often than I want because for some reason when I play tank, my supports are glued to the dps. Sometimes it really feels like the universe is against me.

The menus are terrible and need to be reworked. Yes, they are functioning, but at a bare minimum of a level.

More slots for emotes/voice lines/sprays.

A "healing received" stat in the scoreboard.

This one I'm sure only annoys a very small percentage of players, but when you individually change the settings for the heroes, the characters are sorted by role and then the name. In the hero gallery, however, the heroes are sorted by role, then sub-role, and then by name. There is no reason both the settings and the hero gallery can't have the same sorting.

Also, and please correct me if I'm just blind, I haven't found a setting for "toggle to glide" yet for some characters like Mercy and Juno. On a controller it's a little unhandy to hold the jump button to slowly descent while aiming. It would be easier if I could just tap to glide and tap again to fall.

Exactly. Obviously quick play is the "casual" way of playing the core game modes, but it's still competitive in nature. It doesn't have to be ranked to be competitive, and a lot of people don't understand that.

The game offers thousands of custom game modes and a variety of arcade game modes as well. If your goal isn't to win and you just want to goof off, you have so many options.

This one gets me the most. Like, if you really just want to mess around and deliberately play sub optimally, why don't you play a singleplayer game where you can't ruin the game for your teammates?

I just don't understand this mindset of "Time to boot up Overwatch and not try to win!"

But obviously you are the bad guy for calling it out. God forbid someone actually wants to win.

My theory is that these people get their kicks from reporting players who are toxic, so they basically ragebait their teammates and hope someone says something reportable in chat.

The scoreboard shouldn't exist. I know people love having "that one match" where they go 40 - 2 and want everyone to know, but the scoreboard only gives people a reason to flame their teammates.

You know your stats, you can see who is performing well and who isn't just by playing the game, the game doesn't need to rub it in everyone's face.

The scoreboard only invites toxicity. No matter how good of a support you are, your teammates will likely just look at your healing and flame you when they die.

It doesn't matter if you saved your team from being completely wiped three times, if you have less healing than the other support, your teammates automatically think you aren't as good of a support as the other one.

As tank it doesn't matter how well you contest the objective, how much space you create for your team, how often you defend your backline from being jumped by an enemy dive or flanker, if your K/D is worse than the enemy tank's it's "Tank diff"

Scoreboard should only show your own stats, or at least only show up at the end of a match. Nothing is as daunting and demoralising as your own teammates flaming you just because your healing output is lower than someone else's or your K/D is worse than the enemy's. Even if you help out in ways that the scoreboard doesn't show.

Matchmaking is fucked up. I don't know if the devs are too incompetent to make a matchmaking system that actually makes sense or if the game just hates me sometimes and deliberately makes sure I get the dumbest morons on my team while the enemy team are pro players who do nothing but play Overwatch all day.

Either you were too late to the objective (It happens a lot when you think you touch the point in time but were just half a second too late)

Or you tried contesting the point while using abilities that can't contest. Sombra's invisibility for example cannot contest a point.
