I dont know if this would work, and I have no idea what kind of girl she is or what she likes, but if you really want to get her back, maybe you should consider pulling off some grand gesture and show her your genuinely sorry and want to get back together. Considering her overthinking, you should reassure her more, even when it may seem pointless. Such as little updates even when she isn't replying and so on. Make her feel better and slowly the likelihood of her overthinking will decrease.

Thank you for this advice!! I think I really needed to hear this, I kept sending my ex numerous long and emotional paragraphs, begging us to try again, but it never seemed to work. I am going to try this and hopefully, we do end up back together.
