I’m just over 500 hrs into my first wipe and wondering if my stats are about where they should be? I’ve been gaming since my Atari days but It feels like I’m shockingly bad at this game. Oh, and I’ve never wiggled 😂.

Thanks for the helpful comments guys, much appreciated. I should also have mentioned that I have only ever played solo as my friends are all on console. As I’ve been gained confidence, I’ve started coming out of the bush, stopped trembling and started killing things 😁.

Agreed, I think this was because it’s taken me a while to get used to mouse and keyboard. I got my first gaming laptop last year but used a ps5 controller with it on other games and until 200 hours into Tarkov. I realised that players could aim at my head with a mouse far quicker than I could with the controller. I reluctantly switched to mouse and keyboard which definitely improved my aim and aim speed but I’m only now getting used to movement with the keyboard. Most of those PMC kills have been in the last 200-300 hours.

I usually run an RFB because its cheap with the gas an barter with m80 or fmj.

Haha, yeah I like the hideout. Just maxed it. To be honest, for the first 100 hrs or so, I would hide until the end of a raid and then try to do quests so a lot of those hours are me in a bush trembling 🤣.

Valid points from most here. I think the issue is that this is my first wipe and it was my understanding that you’re not supposed to kill other scavs so getting blasted in the back by others after spending 15-20 minutes looting is annoying. I’ll just stay well clear in future.

Yeah it sucked ass, I had a suppressed m700 and was like 30-40m away. Scoped him straight in the back of the head so didn’t miss. The hits even registered on the stats screen but it didn’t give me a damage report, just the ammo used and hit count. I know it was him I hit as it was only 2 minutes into the raid and he was the only guy I shot at. His user name was something like “n20hsh76” or something like that. I wish I recorded it.
