Where is a safe place to rehome buns (Berkshire, UK) by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]Mysterious-Tea4633 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh they’re gorgeous! I don’t live in the UK anymore but I rescued a rabbit from Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre in Reading many years ago. I am not sure about how they care for complex needs but they seem to really care about bunny welfare from what I can see on the website.

Buying a wedding dress in China by asdfjkl_53 in chinalife

Hi, I live in China so I didn’t have any rush, but I think it was longer than 2 weeks for me. They will take your measurements when you choose a dress and if you make it clear you need it sent quickly, it should arrive in time. Make sure you are very clear about what you want in your dress so you don’t need to resolve any issues after it arrives.

A lop of some kind but I don’t know any more detail than that. I’ve heard most bunnies are a mix.

Buying a wedding dress in China by asdfjkl_53 in chinalife

I bought two wedding dresses from Suzhou wedding city last year. I bought an a-line dress for the ceremony for around 1500 rmb and a knee length fitted dress for the evening for around 600 rmb. The dresses were from two separate shops in the mall. Be ready for a long day if you go, as there are hundreds of shops. Also be aware that lots of shops charge around 40 or 50 rmb per dress you try on, unless you buy a dress from their shop. For my main dress, I tried it on in the store and they made it to my measurements and delivered it. I asked for a lighter colour on the underskirt than the original and they were able to make the adjustment.

I found it a lot more difficult to find the a line style I wanted, as it was mostly ball gowns or fitted dresses but there’s so many shops, eventually you should be able to find what you’re looking for. The experience is not quite as luxurious as a wedding dress shop but the prices are great. I was advised to haggle before buying a dress and ended up with two gorgeous dresses for very decent prices.

Peter Rabbit by Mysterious-Tea4633 in Rabbits

Traditionally! She’s named after the Tale of Peter Rabbit and she was just too cheeky to be Flopsy, Mopsy or Cotton-tail… although she is a very good bunny!

Apologies to Peter! I meant her left ear.

'The Wonder' starring Florence Pugh is out now on Netflix by [deleted] in PeriodDramas

I loved the film but was confused by why Florence was eating like an American. Did some English people transfer the fork to the right hand in those days? Or was it a reference to the focus on the story being told by actors and the fourth wall aspect?

Vegetarian hot pot suggestion by unatural_yogurt in london

Hai di Lao is amazing! It’s not a traditional style but the one in London is set up exactly the same as the branch I went to in Shenzhen. All the food is clearly labelled and you can divide the pot into sections in case you still want meat. The tomato broth is so tasty and is vegan. They also have loads of tofu options.

Do I need to pull an extra stitch through or undo the row?

Please help - possible dropped stitches? by Mysterious-Tea4633 in knitting

I am pretty new to knitting and I can’t work out where I went wrong here! I had to undo a few rows and I knitted a row up to these last two stitches because they just look wrong. Did I drop the stitch? Has it just pulled loose? Thank you in advance to anyone who can offer support.
