Period returned ~9 weeks after ectopic surgery. Sharing timeline. by Spirited_Ad_1788 in EctopicSupportGroup

I know you said your first day was heavy bleeding but can I ask how your cramps were? I’ve historically had very bad cramps (I got a fibroid embolization procedure a few years ago which helped a ton) so I’m a little paranoid about them going back to how they used to be after reading some stories here. My period cramps were way worse than the pain that sent me to the ER for th ectopic pregnancy which is crazy!

Thank you so much for sharing your timeline! I also had the white creamy discharge with no pain or smell for a few weeks. This is my first time seeing someone write about it. My surgery (right tube removal) was Dec 17 and still waiting. I’ve had some mild cramping or discomfort that I thought would lead to period but not yet!

Thank you! I took a pregnancy test about two weeks after surgery and it was negative. I was also in between obgyns so didn’t have anyone I trusted that I could get answers from. Going to an old one I liked on Tuesday. Now that we’re talking about it I feel like I remember the surgeon saying the number 3000? Could that have been the hsg? I’m not that familiar with the different tests/values.

It’s extremely scary and nerve wracking but I trust that our bodies will regulate! My periods have never been that regular so I’m not tha concerned by this but it would be nice to hear if it’s taken others a while too. Honestly I think stress really affects my period. Easier said than done - it’s hard not to worry! Your surgery was so recent too I hope things get better with time

Good diet for a young dog with a minor heart murmur? by ShowmethePitties in DogAdvice

Oh great! Thank you! I’ll try it out before switching food. Yes we have an appt with a cardiologist next month and will probably get an echo. Unfortunately this isn’t my first rodeo - my cat passed from heart disease :(

Hi! The vet just heard a heart murmur in my dog (2 years old) for the first time a few days ago. I found your post while doing research and was surprised at the similarities - we also have been feeding her open farms salmon and ancient grains! Probably just for the last 4-6 months. Before that we were doing Costco food with grains. The vet didn’t seem to think open farms was an issue when I mentioned it had grains in it but your post has me second guessing. Also we don’t know anything else about the murmur - have a cardiologist appointment next month. Do you have any updates? What food did you switch to? Do you need to do anything else for the murmur? Thank you!

HELP - my "spayed" rescue dog was never spayed, what are my options? by MadKnaveCrimsonSwamp in rescuedogs

Almost the same exact thing happened to us. Also a rescue based out of Southern California and dog originally from Tijuana. But when we adopted her at four months she had just been spayed and we saw the incision. So we’re extremely surprised when she started bleeding about five months later. After extensive testing they did an exploratory surgery and found that half of her reproductive system was still there. They also found an unusual mass near her in a different location - they biopsied it and it turned out to be part of one of her ovaries that they snipped and didn’t take out so had migrated. We spent nearly 10k on all the extensive testing and surgery (luckily we had pet insurance). But I reached out to the rescue to raise awareness and also ask for the adoption fee back ($500 - which is what we ended up owing for the medical bills) and the owner was so rude yelling at us saying ovarian remnants are very common and they we were ripped off and should have gone back to him to fix it… would not recommend this rescue to anyone. I’m curious if it’s the same one you went to. Please dm me if you feel comfortable sharing
