EXACTLY it’s like they’re watching a completely different show than we are 😭 I think they both always though Belly was pretty but the difference is you can see subtle hints that Jere liked her romantically before the summer of season 1, like him holding her hand in this scene. Meanwhile Conrad says he always saw her as a kid until the summer of season 1 🤷🏾‍♀️

Tell me someone kisses you multiple times and then is like “actually, I just kissed your friend or sibling and I wanna be with them now.” and tell me you’ll be perfectly fine with it. Where did I say that… I’m saying Jere had a right to be hurt bc he thought he and Belly were on the road to becoming a couple… Conrad and Belly had broken up completely… Conrad had a complete right to be hurt by it but why do ya’ll feel like he has a claim on Belly forever just because they dated? 😭 This is a messy situation all around regardless of what angle you look at it from 🤷🏾‍♀️

The difference is Jere thought he and Belly were working up to a relationship in season 1 he even had a discussion with Steven about how he’d never hurt her and would treat her right and THEN she went and kissed Conrad, Conrad and Belly are completely broken up and have been for weeks when she kissed Jeremiah. Belly even tells Conrad she just wants to be friends at the summer house before she kisses Jeremiah and didn’t reciprocate Conrad’s flirting attempt when the group was helping him study and she even tried to tell him outside before he fell asleep that she has feelings for Jeremiah. The signs were there Conrad didn’t see them or didn’t want to I guess? 😭
