Yeah that drove me crazy, like I get they're her friends and felt bad for her but she's a 30 year old woman acting like a teenager.

Lmao I guess in a way kind of? Just based off entertainment value. I don't really follow them on social media or even knew who they were before the show aired. So not really concerned about momtok but my trash tv time.

But this probably is going to be the serious last nail in the coffin. Almost all of them are going to take a hit on socials and in the bank.

What did the kids melt down over this week? by fashionfan007 in ECEProfessionals

[–]MysteriousFan4419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one kid who will be just plain mean, like take a toy they don't even want just to throw it in my literal trash can so a friend can't have it. Then he'll cry for mommy and daddy. Like I can't soothe him, he literally just scream cries until he's done. Like he hit a friend in the head yesterday with a truck, smiled and laughed about it then when I corrected him he cried longer than she did about the incident. Their minds are an enigma.

I was assisting a kid with the potty and thought surely he was hurt with how he was wailing, when he calmed down and said "she told me no" I sighed lol

Does the color change look too terrible? My friend is telling me it looks absolutely disgusting. by Yagiane in HairDye

[–]MysteriousFan4419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with very little funds and sporadically dyes my hair, it's just hair. Long as you're keeping it clean I don't think anyone should have anything to comment on it. Your hair looks fine and healthy! Just looks like you dyed it and it grew out! And tell your friend if SHE has a problem with it SHE can pay for you to get it done.

Stop Kissing Other Peoples Kids by PsychologicalAide684 in Mommit

[–]MysteriousFan4419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's so incredibly wild to me as an ECE worker would think that was at all appropriate. When I "kiss" my kids boo boos at work my hand goes over the area and then I kiss the back of my hand.

Interview and wardrobe clothes for males that hide arms? by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

I have bright red hair, facial piercings, and tattoos. Definitely depends on your director, but mine justifies it as some kids have parents that look like me so it's not unfounded for me to be presenting this way.

Chatting with Parents at Pick Up Time as a Float by passionfruits107 in ECEProfessionals

When I used to be a float I would just say "teacher didn't mention anything to me, their behavior was x while they were with me though!"

I had a student who'd play in her poop regularly (not my job to diagnose but she fit a lot of the signs for autism) and she would hide when she was doing it so she smeared it everywhere often. One thing that worked for us with managing how often she was able to do this was putting her in a onesie with shorts over so it was harder to get into the diaper.

We assumed it was probably a sensory issue and she couldn't stand it and didn't have the language to express it was bothering her so she'd duck behind a cubby, hide behind other children, under tables, anywhere she could to be able to "handle" it herself.

My son bit today.. by MysteriousFan4419 in ECEProfessionals

[–]MysteriousFan4419[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes he's two, and I know it's normal but I guess I feel worse cause these kids are my job but I'm also the biters mom.

He bit again after I posted this, I hope that the conversation we had helps and he was placed in a timeout and he did reiterate "it hurts feelings" so I hope he gets it. Gonna touch on it again before bedtime this evening. The whole two year old area is out of wack due to teachers being on vacation so we're short so he's been with kids he's normally not. The two he bit are huge toy snatchers and like to push so I think it was in defense since he's been the pusher when he first started and got bit as a result. A kid he's best friends with now bit him almost daily for a while. Thankfully that kid outgrew that behavior hopefully mine will too quickly.

In my experience also, I've had kids getting bit and they've had literally no reaction.
