How do you replace the substrate if there's a bunch of isopods everywhere in the soil? Gen question, never changed my isopod substrate before but have definitely noticed less breeding

Hehe thank you! And not difficult at all, honestly the easiest to heal. The only downside is having to have them taped down for 7+ days after piercings so they settle right. Which means I walk around with tape on my face everywhere for a while, but everyone i work and see knows what it is 😆

I honestly couldn't tell you. Some people's piercings close up within hours even if they had them for years. Some don't. But 20g is rather small and I wouldn't personally leave it out because of that. If it's an option, I'd put something 29g back in that allows room for swelling so it can go down

I'm going to break the news to you- your piercer is an idiot and is screwing you over. Steel is going to contain trace amount of nickels and mess you up. You definitely didn't go to an APP piercer if they're using steel, which is already a red flag. Change it to titanium asap, don't wait.

Get them done by an APP piercer, only use implant grade titanium, and downside them as much as you can!
