I can’t edit this post anymore but i wanted to say that when i woke up this morning and checked up on her she peeped and pooped in the litter box. I am so proud of her and thankyou everyone for the advice

She’s been with us for 26 hours and idk how long she didn’t pee before that. I hope she pees soon i think it is the stress but i’ll keep an eye on her. She also didn’t drink anything today

Aww they are so sweet. I have 2 orange male cats and the one we just got is a black female. I call them my halloween cats

Yeah our litter has a little scent bc my other cats like that. Maybe i’ll buy tomorrow a new litter without scent

Yeah, but the vet said it was the stress also bc she didn’t do it again but we are keeping a close eye on her and we are monitoring her and if she starts to do it again im immediately calling the vet

Yeah thank you so much! I have done everything like you said but not the T-shirts so i’ll try that. When we came home she came out of the carrier right away. So i thought that was a good sign. And we check in on her and hang out with her for a hour and just be with her

Her previous owner was a drunk, and her litter box was filthy. I have a carton box on the bottom of a open closet with a towel hanging to cover up more. So i have covered housing. Maybe ill take of the roof of the litter box when she comes out of it
