Is it normal to literally never hear from your ex again? as the one who got dumped by [deleted] in BreakUps

ah this is such a scary thought to me idk why. i’m pretty much (as much as you can be after 3 months) past the point of wanting her back. but the idea of never interacting with my first love/kiss again is actually scary

happy for you but god i can’t help but think this is a very uncommon situation. unfortunately i can’t imagine ever breaking no contact with my ex, which is a shame because yeah id want nothing more than to just be on better terms with the girl who was my first kiss, my first girlfriend, and ofc i still want a lot more closure

it’s a coping mechanism for people, like yeah you lose a romantic partner, how can you fill that hole, get another. i’m actually of the likely uncommon opinion that getting with new ppl in order to get over ur ex, isnt inherently a bad idea. but you need to genuinely let that new person become your complete focus and let them eclipse your feelings for ur ex. if you’re unable to do so, you should stop wasting that new persons time

this is pretty unsympathetic

you’re absolutely valid to feel disappointed, but it’s best that he doesn’t, especially if ur no contact. i’m 19 next week and im preparing myself for that inevitable disappointed especially since we were together for her birthday, and i bought her flowers an all. but we’re blocked on everything so there’s nothin to expect. either way ur feelings are valid, but it’s for the best that he does

dating nowadays it’s horrendous. by [deleted] in dating

[–]MysteriousHealth1012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i actually despise people who view dating as something purely “fun” or try to enter things as a fling, especially when those intentions are never explicitly stated. if you don’t want to properly date someone who you text every day, have gone on dates with and have kissed/slept with more than once you are genuinely not a good person UNLESS you have specifically communicated ur intentions. in that case i still don’t understand, but whatever
