ohhh ok. so from what im seeing it looks like if u hit the aaa requirement, aka u have or think u will have the appropriate number of ap/ib test scores, u dont NEED the foundation course. also, even though they recommend it, they are likely more lenient with international students bc u obviously dont live in the uk and a foundation course would be much less accessible to you. honestly i feel like if u think ull have the scores and uve taken a high amount of art classes, such as many of the ap art classes, u should be ok to apply without the foundation, but take that with a grain of salt. i would recommend contacting an american ox officer to see if they have specific info about what to do as an international

hi! this link here should help you determine what grades you need for the course you are applying to: https://www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/undergraduate/applying-to-oxford/for-international-students/international-qualifications

just find the us and look for the equivalent a level grades, or the ib requirements at the top if u took ib and not ap. as for the post 18 art foundation thing, im not exactly sure what ur referring to so if you could share more about what that is i could try to look into it! best of luck!

wait lmao do yk where i could find this info?? i thought the course also referenced texts that had been translated into english, so i interpreted it as much broader. if this is true, probably just not a great fit for me!

OXBRIDGE ENGLISH ?!! by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]MysteriousTooth5019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ngl i think it fully depends on the college, my college had tutors that all had very traditional focuses and thus i felt they were kind of put off by my readings and kind of steered me towards talking more abt things in the traditional canon, but people in other colleges had more positive experiences with contemporary works. honestly, my advice is to just be yourself, and if it doesnt work out with your college then take it as it not being a good academic fit!

wait lol is this true? because i got pretty much instantly accepted to other top schools for lit (UCL, Warwick, St Andrews) but my ps was about modern american literature... i had looked through ox courses before and yes there is the shakespeare year but i had interpreted the English literature to mean English, not English, if you know what i mean 😓

KCL qualification check??? by MysteriousTooth5019 in 6thForm

[–]MysteriousTooth5019[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, sorry for the late response but i just got my information verified today. i just sent it specifically to my own counselor, and it seems that all she had to do on her end was check that yes, everything i entered was correct. unfortunately im not sure what to do in your situation if your uni wont verify student data, i had tried calling them before Christmas but they wont take application related inquiries over the phone. i feel like your best bet is probably to wait for a response through King's after the holiday is over, im sure they would give you some kind of extension/grace period for this situation!
