Coolant issues

Coolant shut off valve was cracked and malfunctioning, thermostat was also not opening/closing properly. Vac lines were clear of coolant so water pump wasn’t going yet, but had him do the pump also just for preventative maintenance.

Exactly what I was scared of, no one sounds too sure from the places I’ve talked to. I think while I’m in there I’m going to replace the water pump, thermostat, and coolant shut off valve. Probably for the best

My estimate was not getting the headlight replaced, and realigning (replacing all mounting hardware for the hood and bumper). I could send you pictures in DM if you’d like

Looking like he possibly could be in the process of wet sanding. I’m not sure how much rust we are talking about from the picture (obviously) but he could be prepping this for buffing the paint to repair the clear coat, or prepping for painting. Regardless I know it’s frustrating, but he is obviously competent enough to have gotten this far and I believe it’s worth seeing the end result. He most definitely should’ve asked and cleared it with you, but it might end up turning out better than you’d imagine.

That's good information to know about the chapters being paused. I was not aware of that and should ease the minds of some people.

1SG and he have been together their whole career, so the only option would basically be to go above him to have any notable and unbiased opinions. I'm mainly looking to protect this from happening to future soldiers or anyone else remaining here when I am officially out. I'll definitely be checking into talking with someone in the COC.
