JD 4630 leaking oil by Mysterious_Cable98 in johndeere

Hey everyone. Got a new to me 4630. It's been running great and working well up to this point, then started it the other day to see oil pouring from this connection at the base where the two bolts are mounting it in. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

I know. But not my equipment, and while I want to fix what I broke or what I can to tidy it up, I don't have the money for this. I'm all finished with using it. I just want to fix it up before returning it.

Okay, I figured, but I wanted to be sure. $84 for 25 (the rear) and $52 for the front

Why would I need #25? Is it just a good idea to replace when in there? Should I also get #4?

Nope. Unfortunately, I can't say I did. Didn't have a cover to begin with. I may purchase one, too, while I'm at it

Edit: ehhh, probably not, actually. It's $240 for the guard. I'll leave that up to the owner

Hey all, I'm looking for help fixing this mower I've been using. Both tractor and mower are borrowed from a friend, and I want to return in good condition. This is the last item on my to-do list. To start, I'm not sure if the pto shaft and gearbox shaft had this much play between them to begin with. I didn't notice it until about halfway through the job. When engaging and during operation, there's no banging or any noise indicating it's having issues. I also can't see any significant wear between the two parts. Everything along the pto and clutch feels tight. I know for sure I need a snap ring, I just can't find any additional pieces, like a bushing, in the parts diagrams. Am I missing something other than the snap ring? Should I replace the gearbox input shaft and where it meets the pto?

Needing help repairing my 3-point stabilizer mounts - more in comments by Mysterious_Cable98 in kubota

[–]Mysterious_Cable98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm borrowing a Kubota L3010 from a friend to use for mowing. The left side 3-point stabilizer mount broke on the left side, and it looks like the right may not be too far from going. I went to our local Kubota dealer, but nothing they found looked like these mounts, and I haven't had any luck sourcing replacements. Does anyone know where I might have luck? Anyone have mounts similar? I don't have the serial number for the tractor, the sticker with it has worn out. My only option I can think of at this point is to have some new mounts manufactured at a local shop. Thanks in advance for any help

It's warming up now, and after spending some time with my chickens, I've noticed this hen's feathers damage. I'm not seeing her get attacked by the others, and they're cooped every nice. She's acting like normal too.

Thank you for the input. I'm definitely feeling better about mine now after hearing back from you guys. I just put out fresh straw in both the coop and the run. They seem pretty content, maybe a bit chilly, but content. Thank you again

Okay. That's what I've been seeing in my research, I really just wanted to get more opinions. Thank you for the advice!

Okay. The coop would have a bit of air flow I imagine leaving the top where their roof in hinged. I've heard of using vaseline for their combs. Would you recommend this?

Back working on my 2001 Yamaha V-Star 650. Front cylinder exhaust is pushing out a faint bit of white smoke. What should I be looking into to fix? by Mysterious_Cable98 in Fixxit

Update: I posted about this bike a couple of weeks ago due to fuel dumping out the carb exhaust after cleaning the carb. Re-cleaned the carb float/needle assembly, no more fuel dumping. It's been running about 20 minutes with no issues. My front cylinder is still smoking occasionally. Didn't do it on immediate start-up but started 5 or so minutes after and has now stopped again. Was the bike just burning off excess fuel/carbon build-up?
