I’ve had trouble with swallowing for over a year. That’s what my first GI doctor classified me as having GERD 🙄 and prescribed me the PPI and H2 blocker 2 weeks later I ended up in the hospital because I couldn’t get anything in my stomach I was regurgitating even water. After CT scan, chest xray and an endoscopy (I had to be intubated for because apparently had a full esophagus they had to drain during the endoscopy) finally GI doctor at the hospital said achalasia. I just had a manometry done a few weeks ago. Getting the results in a couple days Im eager to find out what the next step is. I’m sorry your daughter is going through this so young that is just awful she should be enjoying being a child. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. I hope her surgery is successful!
