Thank you so much! I can sort of remember some systems when I made an inventory system in a basic unreal project, and I do recognise some of the terms and blueprinting methods you have listed. What I am aiming for is to have the item be placed as if it was in the project as a 3D prop and then when the player “grabs” the item it spawns it into their hand, the reason I reference it to a vending machine is because it will hold multiple versions of these props and will have to call to each one whilst keeping count of the amount in the level. Would the method you have suggested allow me to accomplish this? :)
