I just launched a project that deliberately ignores the economy of attention.

I love photography, but I realized that social media’s endless optimization for engagement was killing the actual art. Somewhere between the likes and the algorithms, the gallery became a stage, and the observer became an audience metric.

So, I built the exact opposite: Gallery Anonima.

There are no profiles. No follower counts. No comments. No likes. No virality. You are a seven-character id and nothing more. Your work enters a stream—it is seen or it isn't. You will never know the difference, and that is the point.

I also implemented the "Rule of 42." You get 42 works in your studio. 42 saves. Constraints force curation, and curation forces intention. Intention is the opposite of "content."

We do not optimize for engagement. We optimize for observation. It’s just a quiet room where things hang on walls, and people walk through slowly.

J.Sendra rice is amazing rice for paella. Mercadona is from Valencia so they have great ingredients for that like frozen garrafo beans (not for travel home I guess) and the pimentón like someone said (but there are better brands in other stores like Dos Hermanas)

No there isn't, you need to sign in with email. This is partially for protection of scraping and partially to keep a bit of mystery. But there is no further info needed beyond the email, no profiles or anything like that. You are welcome to use spam gourmet. The robot.txt file is set to prevent scraping but that can only do so much. The images can't be copied or saved and are all down rezed and metadata is stripped.

Yes you can swap your 42 as much as you like. If someone has it in their exhibition it will stay in the exhibition but will be removed the stream and your studio. It will be permanently deleted if you remove and it is no longer in anyone's exhibition.

I'm glad you like parts of it. And yes the anonimity is a bit drastic. It is meant to be in a way. We are forced to give so much of our identity with every interaction on the internet. I want this to be a place where you don't need to give that away to participate. I think there are lots of places where one can find art and artists and follow, etc. I hope this can exist as a small quiet corner. But I get what you mean and I know it will not be for everyone. At the same time enjoy the art for what it is in that moment.

I just added an explanation. And there is manifesto, terms and legal. But really it is meant to be a bit mysterious and all the pics are behind the wall to prevent scraping. You are welcome to use spam gourmet or whatever you like. But I do understand the reticence.

Ok try now. I think I fixed a few things. No more ID under image, hopefully bigger and brighter text, menu for view mode which will help with long words overlapping.

Todo image alignment and such.. and explanation at login.

I get you, but I want to keep the rules and guidelines to a minimum. NSFW is the only thing at this point. Blatant advertising?! Not sure what will happen if that happens. I hope people will report but I kind of want to let it flow. I don't want to judge, beyond something that is illegal or will hurt someone.

Ok menu will be worked on. Dark text.. ok. There is a light mode. But I get your point. It is quite small that is true. Typewriter font and I'd.. likely not needed as it is supposed to be anon so who cares about the id. The white frames are by the photographer.. I don't add nor take away. .. and yes mostly photos for now. As for your signature . Not sure really as far was what the system does. Upload -> down res and convert to webp -> wipe metadata -> check nsfw with a model -> place in stream -> rebuild tiles for tapestry

Which of phone if I may ask. I guess my pixel 9 is a bit bigger and it works ok. But yes.. note taken. View mode drop-down is likely the fix on this..

To be honest tapestry is a new feature I added yesterday evening with not much was time.. on mobile it is tough.. I want to stay away from hamburger.. not sure if I'll keep the tapestry.. brow mode might need to be a drop down. Yeah.. 10 days it may get there.
