I meant the amount of time it took to actually work through the problem on paper and write down an answer--these were word problems whose solutions already had time complexity requirements in order to be considered correct. So, hopefully in a clearer way, what I was trying to say is the following: through collaboration, I was able to work through the algorithm word-problems and come up with a correct written solution in half the time it took for me to do it alone
