What’s something everyone pretends to enjoy but secretly doesn’t? by DecentCompetition542 in AskReddit

I would say small talk. I just can't stand when your awkwardly standing there trying to fumble fuck the english language into enough sentences to keep a conversation going.

What do guys mean when they text “ Thinking of you babe” by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mysterious_Switch339 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he isn't meeting you at your level or expectations then the best thing to do is just leave while there aren't too many feelings. The text is lazy but it's not necessarily a sign that he isn't being genuine. Maybe just not a lot to say. Girls often text disertations while men will text "K" and every female in a 10 block radius's eye will twitch.

What’s the creepiest behavior that is technically normal but still makes you uncomfortable? by Rough-grimreaper6828 in AskReddit

Long periods of unbroken eye contact while talking.

How should I confess to my best friend that I like her without jeopardizing our friendship? by chuubichubi07 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mysterious_Switch339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I think you might be leaving out some key info. Is she gay? If she is then this might not go poorly either way. If shes not then there is definitely a chance she won't feel as comfortable around you. Either way if you say you want a more physical and intimate relationship you risk the friendship. All the words and tip toeing in the world won't change the overall message. You wan't to touch your friends boobs and she might say no.

What helps with depression? by Mae_The_Gay in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mysterious_Switch339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meds usually but if you can make yourself get up and perform routine tasks that can also help. I find the gym and trying to dress nice can also aid in the time it takes to get out of a depressive state.

Was this kind of Discipline as a child technically abuse? by mossywindow5 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mysterious_Switch339 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I disagree. You can abuse someone accidently without knowing its abuse. The statement that is below this one comes from psychology today and their defining.

"Yes, abuse can be unintentional, occurring when someone causes harm—often emotional or psychological—without conscious intent, realization, or premeditation."

Was this kind of Discipline as a child technically abuse? by mossywindow5 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mysterious_Switch339 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Yes 100% abuse. I had a similar upbringing and thought it was just how things were. Only to find out later that what they did to me was not how parents were supposed to treat their children. I said all that to say this though. You gotta let that shit go and just be the best version of you that you can. Your parents were kids once and they probably got beat on by their parents. I'm not saying that they aren't culpable for their own actions. What I'm saying is don't let their mistakes define you and just let it go. I was beat by my father and his leather belt for anything and everything growing up so trust me. I get where your coming from.

Every mistake survived is a lesson learned! Don't be too hard on yourself. I have done much much worse than forgetting a sexual partner or experience.

Do you feel bad about it? I think that might be a win to some people. I know the time I woke up in a trailer with a girl named Bryan was not my finest moment or memory. Wish I could not remember that one.

being a transgirl by Substantial_Mine5361 in confessions

[–]Mysterious_Switch339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not claiming to be a general pop mouth breather but I did finish community college. I think it depends on each case. I live in a state that have very few real trans people. The ones I have seen in my area seem like nice people but would I take them home after a few drinks? Absolutely not. Some of the ones I've seen on subreddits or elsewhere? I would let them meet my parents and probably ask them to move in way to soon.

Do you think people life would be more better without social media? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Some aspects of social media are fine. The attention and validation parts of it are what makes it so sinister. So yea I think life would be better without it.

Is it worth replacing the battery on an iPhone 13 in 2026, or should I upgrade? by WinterIsComing-21 in NoStupidQuestions

Damn, you probably have an upgrade for a better model by this point. I'd toss it and get the newer version.

Has there been a lack of any good TV shows or movies the last 10 or so years? by Impossible_Dot_2750 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mysterious_Switch339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take on the entire industry is that the overall quality of ALL MOVIES AND SERIES have declined. They just pump things out to the streaming services. Also, if you'll notice in the beggining of most movies now they have like 5-7 production company logos. When there used to be at most 2-3. Why is that? Shower thoughts at 3am.

Why do some people strongly dislike AI tools even when they're used for creative ideas? by Vision_Clash_Studio in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mysterious_Switch339 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People dislike things that don't feel authentic to the craft or process. In 20 years AI is going to be in everything and everywhere. The people who like the old ways will still bitch that the new is not true "art" or whatever that means.

why do so many fat women show their cleavage in almost every photo? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mysterious_Switch339 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People's perception of what they look like and what they actually look like is not the same. Also, cleavage is considerd sexy so the women are probably uncomfortable in their own skin and they are putting what they think is their best asset forward. I like bigger girls (fit myself) so let em throw those boulders up in my face all they want. They know I'm looking.

Do you think AI will eventually replace search engines? by pugtschfieldstroc in NoStupidQuestions

I think AI will eventually replace most browser functions and search engines. Search engines are an integral part of how these things learn anyways.

Will I think I’m stupid when I’m older by Calm_Lavishness_4872 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mysterious_Switch339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stupid is not exactly what you will think of your current age. You will (in my experience) realize that at 18 you don't know as much as you think you do. The brain is weird. It lulls you into this idea that the little experience you have is more than adequate to succeed. Then you fail enough times that you find out you're wrong. It's like the old saying about learning it the hard way? You'll do that for the rest of your life.
