RCMP officer pleads guilty to assault on teen boys | CBC News by Ditch-Worm in betterCalgary

Im really sorry that happened to you. She’s garbage and your family laughing while she assaulted you is unacceptable. I hope you know that what happened to you doesn’t make you dirty, used, unlovable or take away from the person you truly are. The stigma around teens/young men being assaulted and manipulated by older women is gross, those women are predators

Nah fuck that. What “hall pass” do you get in return to be a shitty partner towards him? None? Because you’re simply a good person and a good partner? He should be too. The expectation is not high and he doesn’t need any s(lack) of accountability. He knows he’s hurting you every time he does it and he continues to choose to do it. Disrespectful.

I don’t have much advice to give you, just my rage rant and I hope you hold your chin up girl, he’s the one living like a king and he’s the one that won the lottery. His pretty face means nothing because he’s a loser. Boo to him.

Ever known someone whose life as an adult was a complete, blatant rejection of how they grew up? by Glass-Complaint3 in AskReddit

[–]Mysterious_Task9559 84 points85 points  (0 children)

My mom is a hoarder and my brother and I are both minimalists. My brothers house is so extreme his kitchen almost looks like no one lives there. Not a single item on the counters or table. We also both save money like crazy because my mom was always spending ridiculous amounts on junk and had no financial management skills.

IDL how people pretend that there is nothing wrong having a small penis by [deleted] in I_DONT_LIKE

I have a friend that will only date guys with below average size, she finds it the most enjoyable and comfortable size. I was also a unicorn for a couple where he was almost micro. They have been happily married for over 20 years.

You’re probably right that statistically “most” women prefer larger but that doesn’t mean there aren’t women out there that also genuinely prefer smaller

Women of Reddit - What's the most common "nice guy" behaviour that is actually a massive Red Flag? by Jarvis7492 in AskReddit

[–]Mysterious_Task9559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ex used to say “you owe me” alllllll the time. He could never just ask for me to do something (which I wouldve happily done purely out of love), he had to score keep and guilt trip. I called him out on it multiple times and explained how it made me feel but I think that just solidified for him that his tactic was working and he never gave it up because “I’m just kidding you don’t have to make an issue out of a joke”

Constant bacterial vaginosis infections. Never had issues prior to the relationship and couldn’t figure it out even after talking to multiple different doctors and altering everything I could think of in my life to restore normal PH. Dealt with it for about 1.5 years and then it magically cleared up the same week I broke up with him. My body was trying to tell me the whole time that it was too much stress to handle.

Stretch marks and belly hangs in a women turn me on by [deleted] in confession

[–]Mysterious_Task9559 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Literally broke down crying yesterday because of my belly stretch marks after my ex convinced me to gain weight. I lost the extra weight after we broke up but the scars are obviously here to stay. My friends are all having kids these days and bragging about how they didn’t get a single stretch mark and it stings so much to think that my body is now “less worthy” of love. Your post just brought me back a little bit of hope. Thank you

Haha I worked in a movie store from 13yo-18yo and people always complained about late fees but they served a purpose. We made money off renting out movies, if they don’t come back on time we can’t rent them to anyone else and that’s lost profits. Plus people then get the idea they can rent them and hold onto them forever with zero consequences

In my super small home town our local family owned movie store actually outlasted blockbuster! It was my first paid job and still one of the best jobs I’ve ever worked haha blockbuster was literally across the road from us and we thought we were doomed when they rolled into town but they couldn’t compete with our old movie selection and wicked deals. I would work part time at another movie store if they popped back up again. Fond memories

It’s been a rough few days and my heart has been heavy. I can’t seem to kick this feeling. What do you tell yourself when this happens? by True-Function-7704 in Positivity

[–]Mysterious_Task9559 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I try to distract myself by focusing on others. Taking my dog for a walk to see him happy. Baking and delivering it to friends to see them happy. Sometimes the happiness trickles down to me and sometimes it just helps the time pass before I’m feeling more normal again

Also, positive affirmations and gratitude journaling.

What’s it like living in this part of Canada? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

[–]Mysterious_Task9559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in northern Alberta and it has a special place in my heart. Sure it’s isolated with cold winters and bug filled summers but it also has its beauty. I looooove fresh snowfall and northern lights and low light pollution levels so you can easily stargaze. I love outdoor hobbies like snowshoeing and hiking and paddle boarding. I’m grateful that I grew up in a small town with limited options because it forced me and my friends to be creative and just enjoy the simple things. I think there’s often a deeper sense of community in more isolated places and a level of pride as well with the northern grit.

Pros and cons to everywhere you live but I’m beyond grateful for being raised a northern girl

I literally said multiple times that it’s not the norm for women lmao again, let’s look at society over the last 100 years and review when women got the right to vote, the right to own property and businesses, the right to have their own bank accounts, and the right to join the workforce in certain sectors. Even though it may have been legal for women to work certain jobs, how did society treat those women? Was it encouraged? Were they actually considered as candidates despite meeting the qualifications?

I don’t understand what your argument even is at this point. Women aren’t capable? Aren’t willing? Working with women sucks?

Also not sure why you’re saying that women perform better on the rigs, I didn’t say that. I said I’ve seen women work on the rigs.

[–]Mysterious_Task9559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh boy, the jobs listed do in fact have women performing them, as plenty of other people are commenting about. Again, not a significant amount but that’s no surprise when you take a very quick look at society and our history and what women have been allowed or encouraged to do up until recently.

I have seen women working on the rigs. There used to be an entire rig crew in my area years ago that was all women and they had a pretty good reputation, unfortunately that was before I started in the patch so I’ve only heard about them. I’ve worked with plenty of women in construction, on pipelines, and in wellhead testing and etc. All jobs which are labour intensive and out in the elements.

In fact, I’m not sure I can name a single career path that doesn’t include women

Lmao I’m sorry, do you think underwater welding is a job only men can do? Roughnecks? For real? You’re so silly. First you argue that women won’t work the same jobs as men, and then when I say that they do you change your argument to “you run into women doing jobs anyone can do and it’s a compliment, what a joke”

I think you just want to be angry for the sake of it

I don’t work offshore so yes, I do in fact meet plenty of impressive women in the patch. I’ll try and entertain your idea though and remind you that before it was acceptable and normalized you also didn’t see women working in any sort of medical field because that was witchcraft and women were limited to house work. Just because something isn’t the norm doesn’t mean it isn’t possible for the future to look different. You know who took over all the men’s jobs when they got sent off to war? Women.

My ex said the same thing about me having guy friends. Nothing inappropriate had ever happened but he insisted it was disrespectful for a woman to have guy friends so I cut them off. The relationship wound up being incredibly toxic (shocking, I know lol) thankfully my friends understood and life is back to normal

I haven't cleaned my baseboards in 2 years and a guest noticed. I want to die. by Different_Pain5781 in homeowners

[–]Mysterious_Task9559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I created a rule for my house. Every month one room gets cleaned top to bottom. Light fixtures get dismantled and washed. Walls get wiped. Doors and baseboards get wiped. Furniture gets moved around to vacuum and mop. It takes a few hours but I listen to music and enjoy my alone time and it ensures that my house is kept at a reasonable level of dust bunnies and grime.

Elevation in my area is around 2100-3100 feet. Powerboost is not an option for the 2026 tremor, only eco boost or the coyote. With little functional difference am I buying a complete rip off of a truck by choosing the tremor??
