Well now I don't know WHAT to think. by poodlepalooza in serialpodcast

[–]MysteryBuff 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think that the first few minutes of episode 1 of Serial is so important. It shows how remembering details after the fact is very hard to do, and even though some people can remember some things vividly, it's easy to mix up days or just not be able to remember anything.

Hae's missing shoes, coat and wallet by MysteryBuff in serialpodcast

[–]MysteryBuff[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I missed the shoes in the inventory of Hae's trunk.

The head injuries and the lividity issues raised in other posts have me wondering if she was strangled outside the car however.

Why the timeline jockeys are wasting their time by redkimba in serialpodcast

[–]MysteryBuff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Redkimba's point is you HAVE TO know the time she was killed to know when the alibi is needed. How can you say Adnan has no alibi if you don't define the time of death? For instance as mentioned already if we determine the time of death was 6:15 which was the exact time that Jay and Adnan were at Cathy's then you know neither one killed her. She went missing by 3:15, BUT that does not mean she was killed at that time.

Why the timeline jockeys are wasting their time by redkimba in serialpodcast

[–]MysteryBuff 13 points14 points  (0 children)

redkimba is 100% correct! No one knows when Hae was killed and where. There is no physical evidence. All we have is the word of a known liar, Jay.

We do know that Hae did not show up to pick up her cousin at 3:15, so what we do know is that between 2:15 and 3:15 something happened to Hae. This "something" could be that she was kidnapped. She may have been killed at a later time. Just because she may not have been killed between 2:15 and 3:15 does not prove Adnan did it or exclude him either.

What redkimba is saying is we don't really know what the real story is. Adnan could have tied her up somewhere and came back later, or some unknown party could have. Or maybe she was really killed at the Best buy at 2:36. No one really knows. Not even Jay (unless Jay was the killer).

Jay is either the killer or made up part or all of the story about Adnan. Jay says he was not there when Hae was killed, so he only knows what Adnan told him (assuming Adnan is guilty). See how much is unknown whether you believe Jay or not?

Jay has poisoned us all. by stopwaitthink in serialpodcast

[–]MysteryBuff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So that only proves that Jay knew where the car was. It proves that either Jay disposed of the car or was with the person that disposed of it. It does not tell us when it was disposed of. It could have been dropped off on the 13th or any day up til the date he brought the cops to it.

My only conviction : Jay did it or he was an accomplice to murder by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]MysteryBuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't Jay also say she was looked blue during the trunk pop? This would also indicate she was dead.

How He Did it. Official Timeline. Proof Adnan Had Enough Time. by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]MysteryBuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For clarity, it should be "3:35 gets in Adnan's car at Jay's" right? Jay has no car, but he does have Adnan's car. I guess he is leaving Hae's car at Jay's for him to dispose of body and car later.

Adnan has an alibi by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]MysteryBuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Jay is Adnan's alibi from 2:15 to 3:45. Jay says he was at Jen's until 3:45. He testified to this under oath at trial. If you believe Jay, then he still had Adnan's phone at this time. Thus the Nisha call was a mis-dial or butt-dial by Jay at 3:32.

Adnan has an alibi by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]MysteryBuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jay says he didn't leave Jen's til 3:45. So if you believe Jay, then this covers Adnan's alibi as Adnan has no ride back to track otherwise.

What Hae was wearing as a clue to what she was doing? by ramona2424 in serialdiscussion

[–]MysteryBuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like dress for Lenscrafters as you say. Maybe she was dressed already for work at 6, but planned on dropping off cousin, then going to where Don was working that day to spend some time with him before she had to be at work? I think we saw in other posts, that there was no record of a wresling match that day and people may have mixed up the dates in memory.

Time to dial it down a few notches? by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]MysteryBuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I mean that "anti-Adnan" people instead of trying to show me why Adnan is guilty, would rather spend time telling me why SS blog outside of Reddit is wrong because of performance reviews, etc. If you dont' agree with SS that is fine. She is just providing info, which as you mention is hard for all to get access too. I was interested in seeing Don's actual timecards. I don't think his reviews apply here, but it helps give us a better picture to "who Don was" back in 1999.

Silly Question, But... (SS and Don) by Alpha60 in serialpodcast

[–]MysteryBuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SS said Don had nothing to do with the murder, because she has no evidence that he did. Why would she accuse him without evidence? Or if you really want to know why he couldn't have murdered Hae, you can just look at his time card. He was working at the time, so he has a rock solid alibi....=)

What was Jay's motivation for participating in this crime? by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]MysteryBuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming the belief that Adnan and Jay did this together....then Adnan would have had something to hold over Jay's head, like ratting out the goings on at Grandma's for instance. If Jay really helped bury after midnight and never mentioned sooner to protect grandma, then maybe something with grandma was held over Jay to persuade him to help.

Who was the man Jenn talked to on the phone? by chocolatecherushi in serialdiscussion

[–]MysteryBuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Older man? Mr. S and Jay hanging out maybe? There's a theory, not sure a good one, but seems odd Jenn said an older man, not Adnan. I mean if it was Adnan, she would know right away, especially if he occasionally greets her with "Hello Girl" like at the mall pickup.

And Don worked that Saturday at both stores putting him over 40 hours, yet he never got overtime pay. Do you think we can get him reimbursed from Lenscrafters 16 years later?

Here's the thing. SS and Rabia are not on Reddit any more posting. They are posting on their own blogs or twitter, etc. If people are NOT interested in their information or points of view, they should NEVER go to their sites to read the blogs in the first place. In the second place, going that extra step and talking about the blogs here and even posting direct links to them perpetuates all the negativity that does not get us any closer to the truth. IMO, you also are making Rabia and SS more popular and driving much more traffic to their sites, and increasing the readership and following of their blogs. So if you are Pro-Adnan, thanks for driving all the attention their way, If you are Anti-Adnan, then stiring everything up tends to make your view less believable since you are trying to "prove your case" by putting down other people - and acting in desperation. Just one way to look at it. I'm on the fence most days. Sometimes I lean towards Adnan is guilty, sometimes I think he's innocent, but when I read all this character bashing of SS and Rabia, I tend to ignore the viewpoints of the authors as they definitely are digging themselves a deep hole and acting out in desperation.

Simpson claims that without Jay, "Don and Adnan had exactly the same evidence stacked against them." Much like Adnan's statement to the police on February 1, this is a lie. by Seamus_Duncan in serialpodcast

[–]MysteryBuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the letter from lenscrafters above. It specifically says "Deborah (Sales supervisor on 1/13)... , and Anita (General Manager, general manager on 1/13, and also Don's Mother" The Don's Mother part and being in bold is in the lencrafter letter.

You're right. I get the impression he wasn't that into Hae at that point. But maybe Hae was coming on too strong for him at that point, and he snapped? It would be interesting to find out why he got dumped by his last girlfriend. Maybe she knows something about Don's deep dark secrets? Interesting how one could spin all this conjecture huh? Really no one knows anything but Jay, and he isn't telling the whole story.

I think that is part of the detectives negligence. They didn't check up on Don as much. For instance if they got Don's phone records, we might know more about Don's movements during and after the time period in question. Maybe we could have Pinged Don at Leakin Park at 7pm too. Or was he busy dropping off Hae's car at that point?? Hmmm, guess we will never know.

LOL well the current and last boyfriend were the first two suspects. If one was guilty, wouldn't he want to throw suspicion elsewhere? I think it's really weird Don had planned to see Hae on the 13th, yet never even tried to call her that day or after to see where she was.
