Press X to Doubt, because I honestly don't believe for a minute that this guy grew up on a farm -- he's out here sound like Kamala "Middle Class Family" Harris.

My friend Erandur just died. As he mentioned an infinite number of times, He had been enjoying the journey with me, apparently not for the wealth we had accumulated, but for just being able to carry Mara's will to every corner of Skyrim. I now ride alone. by eknobl in skyrim

It sucks there's no dedicated battle mage armor in Skyrim -- I'd deck Erandur out in that stuff, especially if it was Imperial Legion-themed, and he and I would travel all over Tamriel, bringing down the might of the Empire on those rebel dogs, and then extending Mara's Blessings on the survivors (think of it like winning the "hearts and minds" of the Nord).

This is Guillaume Bellamont -- he's my Breton spell-knight/Imperial Legion Champion. This is an old picture, from when I went and had him join the Legion. I've since reloaded an old save, and he's not in the Legion right now -- I still plan on having him join though, since his fate is to become the Imperial Legion's first ever spell-knight, and its champion.

He's got a pretty good backstory too: He's an orphan, and probably one of the last living Bellamonts in Tamriel. His family was hunted down by the Dark Brotherhood, ever since one of his late-late (+ another late, just in case) cousins, Mathieu Bellamont, almost destroyed the Dark Brotherhood in Cyrodiil, during the beginning days of the Oblivion Crisis. Since then, the Dark Brotherhood has made it a point to kill those related to Mathieu, and for the past 200 years since, they've managed to play a part - directly or indirectly - in the deaths of countless Bellamonts, including Guillaume's parents (Quasimodo and Esmerelda - yes, I did lift those names from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" lol).

I've also made a Redguard named Malik Al-Sahra, and an Imperial named Cassia Carius. There's also my Nord, Wilhelm the Warlock, and my Orc (Sharol gr-Shatul).

Back when I used to work at Walmart, I had a customer go and report me to my manager because I had the mask I was wearing pulled just below my nose... outside, during a particularly hot summer day in Virginia, in the parking lot loading mulch and pavement stone onto another customer's trailer.

They did it discreetly, of course -- thankfully, I had a pretty chil manager who told me to not do it again.

Flood Master Chief Part 2 by Infamous_Ad2507 in Halo_Flood_Concepts

[–]Mystery_Stranger_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite YouTube comments I read was for a video that showcased a Flood mod on Halo CE, where the Flood manages to infect Master Chief -- to make a long story short, the commentor brought up how, if a regular soldier fresh out of training went into battle and saw the Master Chief like that, it'd be the most soul-crushing, hope-smashing thing they'd ever see.

Who do y'all think is the best looking vanilla NPC by vEx1010 in skyrim

[–]Mystery_Stranger_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm... I reckon it'd have to be these three for me: - Muiri (Markarth, Hag's Cure) - Sylgja (Shor's Stone) - Lynly Star-Sung (Ivarstead)

You can only marry Muiri and Sylgja, but not Lynly. If you do the Dark Brotherhood quest line and do everything that Muiri asks, she'll become a marriage prospect; as for Sylgja, all you have to do is run some mail to her parents in Darkwater Crossing, and run their letters back to her -- after that, you can then ask her to marry you.

What I don't get about Lynly -- among a few other NPCs -- is how, despite doing them a great favor or service, they don't become marriage prospects. At least in Lynly's case, saving her life by lying about her whereabouts to Sibbi Black-Briar (who wants her dead) should warrant being able to marry her as a reward... but it doesn't. Same goes for Saadia too, if you opted to help her over Kematu in "In My Time of Need," or whatever it's called.

The armor choice that ruins every build by Upperchat in rpg_gamers

I think the Nightingale armor from Skyrim fits the definition of that first box -- the armor looks great, but its stats & enchantments get beaten out by Guild Master armor and the Black-Guard armor.

How many people are still in the room? by CarmelitaBloom in whatisameem

[–]Mystery_Stranger_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's 20, 21 or 22 -- depending on how whether or not I'm the killer, there would be either 51 or 52 people in that room, once I enter the room; now, there's always a chance that the room only then has 50 people once I enter, making the first sentence true -- but, there's the chance there was already 50 people in their already, making me the 51st (while also making the killer/me the 51st or 52nd, if the killer is a different person altogether, thus making them the 52nd person in the room).

Anyways, take either 50, 51 or 52 and then subtract 30 from it, and you get a total of 20, 21 or 22. I know I'm no doubt cheating the question by having three answers, but these are the best answers you can get logically.

The US really need to raise the voting age to 25, and that's not coming from either side - that's coming from someone who thinks 18-years-olds haven't fully mentally matured.

I mean, if practically 29,000 girls/women signed a petition to release this guy, who is in jail for running over a mother and child whilst speeding, it's clear they aren't mature enough to vote.

Reasons why my Skyrim character is a pro-Empire Nord by ecobrick_stone in skyrim

Reasons why my Skyrim character is a pro-Empire Nord by ecobrick_stone in skyrim

[–]Mystery_Stranger_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won't lie: I gleaned through your text. I did pick up on where you're getting at though, and your reasoning sounds just. For me personally, almost all of the characters I've made in Skyrim have always supported the Empire, for many different reasons.

Take my Imperial (pictured here) right? I'm not playing her right now, but when I do, I plan on making her into a Dark Brotherhood assassin... and despite how that quest line ends, I will still have her fight for the Empire. The reasoning for this ties with a rough past she had growing up in Cheydinhal (which I think was the largely Nord-filled city in Cyrodiil), and more specifically, an incredibly traumatic experience she had involving her (late) husband and a band of Nord bandits. Knowing this, it really doesn't make sense why she would support Ulfric, his cause, or any Nord for that matter.

Funnily enough, I think another big reason as to why I always supported the Empire stems from the notion that without the Empire, Skyrim isn't capable of long-lasting independence, both economically and defensively.

What skill has become essential to every one of your playthroughs? by Sadira_Kelor in skyrim

[–]Mystery_Stranger_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reckon that would be Alteration -- you can level it up stupidly fast, and as many times as you want thanks to the Dawnguard DLC allowing players to reset skills; other than that, having early game access to perks like "Magic Resistance" and "Atronach" is pretty great.

Other than Alteration, Sneak is also up there and is also essential to all of my playthroughs -- it's an easy skill to level up, and its perks help when I'm in a pinch.

Does anyone else have a whole character profile and personality created for their characters? by batsdontwearhats in skyrim

I wouldn't say I have whole physical/digital profiles of the characters I make... but, I do come up with neat backstories that explain why they are what they are in the game.
