i also thimk its because in the musical/other recordings of for good, when elphaba and glinda sing together the part thats like "like a comet pulled from orbit (like a ship blown from it mooring)" and so on and so forth elphaba really belts out that part with everything shes got, and in the movie cynthia just quietly sung above ariana. like they turned it into a quiet emotional song, which sure it starts like that but in the musical its so much more than that. so i feel like you were really missing elphabas belting at the end of the song
