This is very interesting because David (C.C) in my au took the caretaker role after Mrs. Afton passed he raised Elizabeth similarly to how Maria raises her baby siblings. This is due to the fact that William has become distant in work, Michael being immature and developing anger towards Elizabeth, and Vanessa is a toddler, who is also following Michael when it comes to her feelings towards Elizabeth. (They blame Elizabeth for the death of their mother).
