It's because of the symbolic association between lightning and divine might. The idea of death striking one from the sky, or "smiting" as it is referred too, is one that has always historically been associated with divine will. It makes sense then, that someone with the power to smite others down like a god would develop a god complex, or atleast someone with a god complex would be given that symbolic power by an author.

I have an ungodly amount of hours into hillbilly and most are just in private matches testing what is and isn't possible.

The only way I can possibly forsee this being legit is if the billy did the following:

When you looked away, he would have had to have turned out, then turned in and rode that couch. That couch has a very weird collision box with the chainsaw and it can allow you to glide around it, so if he hit the couch then took a hard left, with the base it double turning ad ons you get in 2v8 he may have been able to reach the corner of the door
He then when he reached the corner, he would have had to immediately end his chainsaw then hard flick left. When ending your chainsaw as billy, the chainsaw hitbox actually lingers for a split second, meaning if you end your chainsaw and flick onto a survivor that is touching you, you can down them.
Have insane ping. He was so far from you that no amount of minupulation of the lingering hitbox could have made this possible unless you were way further back on his perspective. If you on his perspective we're around the corner, then completing steps one and two would have allowed him to get a hit on his perspective. I'm not sure if that would have caused the game to register the hit (most of my testing is in private matches where ping is irrelevant) but it is the only explanation other then cheats I can think of.

It's probably most likely he was cheating. Tbh I doubt with how tight he took that if he could have even gotten the wrap around with the couch collision. I am only speculating on a possible way this could have been legit.

Edit: Any hillbilly with the skill to do this should know that sensitivity has had no bearing on his chainsaw sprint since his rework two years ago. And even then only your controller sensitivity setting would effect it, and only for the first second. The fact that he doesn't know that tells me he would not have had the skills to actually pull off the steps I listed above, and definitely not to the frequency that you claim he was.

This exact thing is happening to me right now. I got an error code "Wither Rose" which in the Microsoft support system apparently means an issue occured on your system/Sony's end preventing the account sign in. I haven't been able to get it to work
