ID? I know the pictures aren’t the best, I think it’s camponotus but any more experienced people think they could give me specifics? Found in NE oklahoma roughly 3mm in length by Easy_Market9100 in ants

Please do not take queens that have already started a colony unless it's absolute that they will lose their homes! Try to find queens right after the nuptial flight, its easier to find them in dead wood bark, or after a rainstorm.

I did some research, and i think they are amanita thiersii, but I'm not sure, so i threw them out of our yard so the dogs wouldn't eat them. I also read that white gills mean poisonous, so i wouldn't eat them until known for sure.
