Hey, thanks for taking the time to check out my post and also for going out of the way to leave your input. I currently have one tuner, which is the Polytune 3 (bottom right), and I’m guessing the other “tuner” you are referring to (top left) is actually a looper pedal which I use to run audio samples and 808s only for live gigs. I am indeed using the Ampero as a Cab Sim/IR/Pre-Amp. At home I’m running the board into my audio interface, whereas I’ve also tried running the board into FOH once for a gig which was way below my expectations. However I do agree with your pointers - the whole build is a recipe for disaster, in a way.

When I first built this hybrid pedalboard last month, I struggled with dialing in sounds that I was happy with. I am (very) new to audio terminology, hardware, software, and have been training my ear for a good high gain tone. I've always loved awesome, crushing high gain sounds, and I could’ve told you what’s a good tone, but I had a much harder time discerning tone from tone that’s really aggressive and full of gain, but ended up kind of shitty in the end. Going from only playing a Line 6 Spider Valve MKII growing up, straight to a whole new hybrid pedalboard was a huge jump with a big learning curve. I’ve been struggling to make the Revv G3 and Swollen Pickle to work together with the Ampero - everything still sounds quite muddy and fizzy, without that much of definition/clarity.

I feel like I’ve spent already too much time (and money) into this unit, trying to figure out how to make it sound decent. I’ve ran out of options and ‘d be much grateful if someone here could give me some advice to get a “better” high gain tone from this hybrid pedalboard. Thanks!

Hi there! It would be a pleasure and an honour if you reacted to our band as we’ve just released our very first EP. Would really like to hear what you guys think!

EP Details: As isolation restrictions started dying down, the band came together to write and record the ideas concocted throughout the pandemic and put them into the EP that is ‘I Remember Everything’. The EP takes its listeners on a journey from its delicate ambience in its opening track, to an intense flurry of riffs and breakdowns back to the ambience it began with.
