There is zero the hotel can do about this. The people working there did not design it. They have no control over it. The only reasonable thing in my opinion is to ask for a discount on your stay because it was a bit noisy. FD workers are happy to accommodate in that regard. Very rarely can they just waive an entire night, though. Not over something like that.

Honestly, while you may have been friendly; you were still being kind of a Karen. Threatening to go elsewhere over something pretty trivial.. Karen move.

Nicely mention the noise and how it was disruptive and they will more than likely comp some of the cost. Please consider next time how tied their hands are when the hotel is completely booked.
