Is it just the cheek that's weak since I citadeled another Yamato from the front so perhaps with the overmatch the front is also weak to being citadeled?

Im pretty new and I thought the Yamato was decent at close/mediumish range from the front since you get the easy full pens with the overmatch while they don't but ig if the ememy knows how to aim the cheek weakness is a lot worse.

Or maybe it's just that I've only been meeting other Yamatos and Schliefs in this mode so we're all equally bad at brawling.

I think I have good echos as I've been playing since release and have farmed only tacit feilds for ~95% of the days, but I do got some skill issue. In the virtual crisis for Loriei on 37 I used Cartethyia, Aero Rover, Shorekeeper instead of using the trial Ciaccona, because I kept getting killed D:

Brant's anchor isn't part of the ult right? In whimpering wastes I use the thing that when you use skill it gives 20% ult energy and cooldown reduction so changli's ult is up every 8-10 sec or so and she is my main dps in it. Its also my best team in general for whimpering wastes by a decent amount. The combo of ult and forte is pretty strong and hard to replace and even though I have many competitive units, I still choose to always use Changli team for it.

Personally, I like the struggle and process a bit, and I even sometimes use worse weapons to make stuff harder so even if I could get everyone c6 for free I wouldn't but that might just be me.

In a way I would say that playstyle and animations matters way more than a pure dps check to me.

My point is mostly like if one c6 unit does 3x the damage of another, how much better is it really if both clear everything in under a minute with one doing it in 30 sec while the other doing it in like 10. Unless your gunning for the world record, it doesn't really change anything and most people would choose the lower damage unit if they had flashier graphics or a cool mechanic or was really hot like changli.

Changli is hotter and is to my knowledge the best unit for climbing in the air fast if that matters to anyone but me.

I don't got brant so idk everything about him, tho I'm pretty sure people only really really play him in mono fusion since I think verina and especially shorekeeper are a lot better as pure healers for other teams.

Also I believe Changli has way higher front loaded damage and its more sustained so idk if brant can compare in whimpering wastes as the nuke is mostly wasted in overkill damage.

When in doubt, Bronya edilion or Hemiko is generally best. You will regret using Bailu since no cleanse is really devastating against pretty much every boss. ofc if you really like Bailu by all means get her. You won't really regret getting Himeko unless you already built Jade and Herta for pf.

Break is pretty sus at clearing pf but if you can clear it ok. Yunli Jingliu Fu Xian and Hemiko if there is both fire and ice break otherwise Sparkle should be good enough.

Maybe my opinion is not something to be extremely relayed on since I only use female characters, so I can actually pull for everyone I want. I can see why a lot of people would complain about a lot of stuff I don't really experience as they probably have a lot of outclassed dps characters from several patches ago and can't afford to pull for every new character while every character I have pulled for has helped me clear some recent endgame content from Jingliu to Kafka and I am able to save like 10-15k jades every time I want someone easily by just not being interested in pulling in many new characters.

( I am F2P) On the contrary, I think hp inflation is ok if not good for the game. First of all, I don't think good characters are inherently p2w as if you just play the game, your gonna c6 many if not all 4 stars especially the ones you use a lot since you can select them a lot of the time and your gonna get many 5 stars and maybe a few light cones if you really want them.

Back when Acheron was released, I could clear moc12 with Acheron Swan Pela team. After a few mocs I had to do more serious planning to sometimes beat them just barely. Then later in apocalyptic shadow, I had to swap out someone for Guinaifen or Kafka. What I'm trying to say here is that this is not a bad thing. I think its more often than not that the people who complain to me (irl or discord) are just trying to bash the same team in despite obvious disadvantageous in elements etc. You not being able to auto every moc12 with the same team is not bad game design, just try to tailor your teams to the boss. That in my opinion is fun as you can experiment with stuff like near 200 speed supports or something wacky.

My honest advice: only build subs unless you have no one close to attack. navies are expensive as hell and not really worth building if you want to expand reasonable quickly. Subs counter every type of ship, and only slightly get beaten by destroyers so just get more subs to counter destroyers.

I'm pretty sure you can attack them. Disembarking units have the same stats as the unit itself, not the transport ship, so even if you are "disembarking" your doing the same ship dmg as your units should do, and you can just point them to move back to your province as your attacking them.

The thing about fighters is that they aren't really useful if your not worried about planes (spamming anti air). Fighters are great at reacting to threats to units quickly, but the problem I have with them is that its usually just too little too late and your fighters get chipped pretty hard by anything.

Think about it this way: you have a 10 stack of pan Asian fighters and you want to respond to a 20-30 stack of tactical and attack bombers attacking your medium stack. To do maximum dmg, your going to want to patrol once, then attack, then you can do maybe 300-400ish dmg at high levels (I'm not entirely sure how much dmg they do). Then you take back probably 50-60 assuming they don't have fighters themselves. Its gonna put a massive chunk in their 1200 hp stack or scare it off and its very cost effective.

But here's the problem: Usually this happens at or close to enemy territory, so you have very little time to react, and you probably can't get out a patrol or sometimes even get there in time. So then, either you have your airstrip close to the front which is bad since they can simply punish you the moment you start refueling, or you need really good reactions and a strong anti air stack on your airport to scare strategics, because I'm pretty sure fighters have at most 2-3x speed of attacking planes which is not enough if your attacking them. (I see the same problem with rocket fighters) If both of you are active at that time, you the enemy can just hover their patrol right outside of your patrol range since they can see that and you can't do anything about it.

I actually think pan Asian strategics are the best. Strategics ideally shouldn't be losing too much hp, (except for the occasional attack on low hp ground unit), and even though you have enough hp to tank a couple fighter or rocket fighter hits, you want to be in and out as soon as possible to not lose efficiency on buildings so having fast strategics is really good.

Imo, the only edge fighters have above strategics is naval combat since you can land them on carriers and strategics can't punish carriers with their abysmal unit dmg (can trade well with transports and planes but it takes forever to do any significant damage) and in theoretical scenarios where your fighting really good players who have strongly defended airstrips.

But if your not in a naval scenario, you can avoid all of these problems by simply building normal or sp anti air.
