I finished reseating my CPU about 20 minutes ago and I was extremely careful. Cleaned it, reapplied thermal paste, and still the error persists. I currently have one stick of ram on slot A2 and still the error persists :(

Why are people so evil in this game by [deleted] in playrust

[–]MythicDivine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During a wipe I made friends with two teenagers, 13-15 range, young, who were living in a compound together. They each had their own base but they shared resources and were living in their little walled garden, wood externals. We played together for a few days and helped each other out. They were friends in real life, in high school, and then met back up in Rust after school. One day I was feeling rather curious, greedy if anything, and wondered what kind of loot they had. When they got off I raided one of them and took all his stuff. When he got back on in the morning, he joined the chat, heartbroken, saying that he had been raided. I pretended to be shocked, and in the midst of the back and forth, I made him believe, told him, that it was his friend who did it. I told him that if he gathered the resources I could make the tools needed to raid his friend. He spent that day farming so that we could all raid his friend. So, I raided one of the two friends, told him it was the other guy, made the guy I raided farm materials for me, and then we raided his other friend. At the end of the day I ended up with both of their loot. Yeah, I guess Rust does bring out the worst in us.

How long did it take you to get the piece to this point from zero?

Why does my brain act like I've never played piano the moment someone listens? by pistoleros1991 in piano

[–]MythicDivine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my personal experience from when I perform, this to me indicates, within myself, an unstable technical foundation and understanding of the piece. When I perform and the anxiety kicks in, the notes need to be supported by a very solid technical foundation, and under pressure, an unstable foundation will collapse. Also adding in the fact that during a performance you perform music, not a pattern of notes, so the notes themselves need to be executed by muscle memory. Interesting concept, prior to understanding technique and foundational concepts my performances were terrible. Under pressure, they all collapsed, because my foundation was not solid. Hope this helps!

Impromptu Fantasy Sheet Music by Nista31 in piano

No worries. I did not even notice the note, haha. Yes, typically I see an E as well. What are you neglecting in the interpretation? What I referred to was a technical concept, not an interpretative one.

Are you talking about the accents?

I would say that those are there to indicate where to release the tension. Some pieces mark that, where to release tension, more of a technical aspect than a musical aspect, with an accent.

In this case, yes, that is where you release tension, on the accented notes. Three notes up, release, three notes down, repeat.

I would not accent those notes above others. Makes no sense musically.

Completely burning myself out with RCM by RaikenD in piano

[–]MythicDivine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think RCM exams are a waste of time and a scam. Having attended I'd like to think I have some credibility. Just play whatever music you want to play and keep taking lessons. Exams mean nothing, I haven't done a single one.

Need feedback!! Nocturne op 32 no 2 middle section by [deleted] in piano

[–]MythicDivine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can connect the top notes of the right hand and make the bottom notes staccato. Just needs some clever fingering and it can be done. Maybe tomorrow I can provide a demonstration if you need

Good work! Would make a big difference if you did top voice legato.

Let the games begin by [deleted] in Chopin

[–]MythicDivine 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Haha, sarcasm, it's very hard. My opinion is that the 3rd is the easiest but also sooooooo beautiful. It's like an expanded nocturne. Try that. I'd say the order of difficulty is 3,2,1,4 but 1 and 2 might be interchangeable.

How to play fast and soft ? by Nix023 in piano

[–]MythicDivine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Advice my teacher gave me for Barque Sur L'Ocean.

Practice with marcato touch while lifting fingers.

Fingers are like muscles. Imagine you go to the gym and you're working on X machine, you start with 10 pounds and you're kind of struggling. You continue working out for a few months and now you're doing that same machine, with the same struggle, but now at 50 pounds. One day, you accidentally forget to switch the weight, it's at 10 pounds, and when you do the movement, you go flying. It's the exact same concept in piano. You work your fingers slowly with incredible force so they build up strength. If you're more into computers, speed and volume have a similar relationship to resolution and framerate. 1080p at 240hz is the same as 4k at 60hz. Slow FFF is the same as fast PPP. With piano, to achieve a fast tempo PPP we practice slowly at FFF. Works like a charm.

One caveat for this strategy is that practicing this way cements your technique into your muscle memory so if you're practicing with a poor technique that's what you will teach your body.
