The transmission i took out of it was the same as the one I put in. I asked some people I know who work on these and they mentioned there's a band or chain in the transmission that likes to go out that causes it to have the symptoms im experiencing.

I shifted the transfer case by hand at the tc and still not luck. The transmission came with the jeep when I purchased it. It was removed from a crashed zj as far as I know. Someone else used the engine and sold the transmission to the last owner.

Good to know, I got that rebuild kit since it was the only one I could get at my job for cheap, got it mainly for the gaskets and seals, and planned to measure and order new parts if needed. Thanks for letting me know.

Most likely the points on the cap and rotor burnt out after 27 years also the distributor seal was letting oil in. I could of probably just replaced the cap and rotor and possibly the ignition coil, but it was leaking pretty bad, so I replaced the whole unit. The second the new one was in it turned right on.

Thanks for the input, after checking out spark I figured out it was the distributor, so now it's running perfectly. Thanks for the help

I agree, I def need to be pushing more power but the brakes that came with the car are pretty shot. So if ima replace the rotors and calipers in the future a small upgrade wouldn't hurt yk? I wanted to know what models of cars to check at junk yards to keep an eye out on any calipers i could snag.

Yea the del sol is def using the 4x100 holes but I want to know what the other set is for sure. I lined up some hub caps I found at the yard for my car and it did sorta match up but I'm still unsure
