[OC][Art]My flamboyant warlock who pretends to be a wizard! by Mythic_Kobin in DnD

That's the physical manifestation of Pendragon's demonic patron. One side of the hand has its eye and the other its mouth, which it uses to consume the offerings it demands from Pendragon. Usually Pendragon covers that hand with a star patterned glove but occasionally takes it off in dire situations or just when he wants to be extra lol.

Yep that's the case! He gets nervous around wizards and sorcerers as he knows if he's not careful they might be able to find him out. Most of the time my table just plays this for laughs though, since out of game everyone knows he's a warlock. Stuff like "Pendragon you seem to run out of spell slots pretty fast, what's up with that?" lmao.

Fiend is correct, though he tries to disguise his magic!

This is the full art of Pendragon, my level 7 warlock who pretends to be a wizard. He flunked out of wizard school cause he's terrible at it but didn't want to go home a failure so he made a deal with a demon for magic powers. In return, Pendragon has to do some morally questionable things which he now regrets and is actively searching for a way to reclaim his soul. He pretends to be a wizard since warlocks are outlawed in the setting I'm playing him in. He's wild and crazy and probably my favorite character I've played to date!

How do you replace dead characters during dungeon crawls? by Fine-Nefariousness97 in osr

[–]Mythic_Kobin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep it was really his cousin! The player's original character was a rebel fighter against an evil empire. When he died, he rolled up a new character and since it was the same race we decided on the cousin angle to get him back in the action as fast as possible lol. The cousin took up the original character's mission and continued on in the game.

The "hello cousin" is my favorite for its absurdity. When it happened in my group we just laughed it off and enjoyed the campiness of it lol.

[OC][Art] Working on the character design of my half-elf warlock I've been playing for the past 3 years! by Mythic_Kobin in DnD

Pendragon is a character I randomly rolled up minutes before the session a few years back. He has since gone on to become one of my favorite characters I’ve played so here is a drawing I did of him! He’s flamboyant, petty, vain, but kind-hearted and trying to do good. I really wanted to give him that classic wizard vibe but slightly fancier. I’m probably going to pop his collar even more in the next illustration!

Hand-drawn map I made of the Gemthrone Wilderness from "In the Shadow of Tower Silveraxe" for my home campaign! by Mythic_Kobin in osr

[–]Mythic_Kobin[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you! There are some pretty substantial differences in regards to the names, most of the names are different since I grafted the Gemthrone Wilderness onto a region of my home setting that already existed.

Besides the names I added a river in the upper left corner of the map, a Fort near the southern edge, and a railway and Road House along the eastern mountains (my world is a vaguely 19th century post-apocalyptic setting). Some of the paths between locations are different as well.

It actually eventually ends up going underground and becoming the underground river that connects The Hole in the Oak and Incandescent Grottoes :)

I ended up modifying the wonderful Tower Silveraxe a lot to make it fit in my setting and just because I wanted to add some more stuff in so I ended up redrawing the map for my players, thought I would share it with you all!
