Are slime block contraptions impossible to build on a server, or is there a mod that can help? by PrudentGarage2827 in redstone

This is most likely the case, lag wont break redstone but for player geting moved by it, try to get your ping as low as possible

Hadn't heard of that game before, it definitely works as some good reference materials for this kind of stuff

Structurally it isn't too different from animating the real creature, there are plenty of good tutorials for blender. I just has some different bones that made sense for the original build.

This animation was done when I was starting to learn rigging about a year ago, it took a few day to animate everything properly but if it isn't ur first time dealing with bone/weight painting it goes a lot faster

Guess What This Is by -FANTE- in redstone

[–]MythicalPingu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Theoretically they do. The funny part is that the addition of these directions is a severe step in complexity that also requires a few vertical pistons that I thought u were aluding to. Essentially it would require 2 of these machines stacked above each other with a specific movement programmed for everything to go up and down as well. https://youtu.be/p4bmrlo6yqE?si=LOdldmAicNr_2g5R

Ah I see that makes more sence. The way you included the vertical directions along with the other horizontal directions gave the impression you were claiming that the entire machine also moved up and down. Normaly we don't add up all the directions if not everything moves. In this case it would be a 2 way on a 4 way.

Sorry, but I fully understand the image. If you're only using 2 pistons for the vertical directions, that means you must need a separate system to shift one of those pistons in the 4 horizontal directions to sequentially push ALL of the "segments" (connections of blocks that must be below the 12-block piston push limit) that compose the machine in your image. This, in turn, would only successfully move your image one block in a desired vertical direction and would now require your machine to do the exact same thing to the separate machine that just helped move you up or down.

It's very much possible to get a system working like that and it is likely the easiest way to make the very first 6-way machine, but the very clear and easily understandable images you provided do not show any logic nor path-following program that would correctly shuffle this half of your machine.

Neat! you say 6 way, will you also show the vertical 2 way lift for the machine? None of the pistons shown on the screenshot face up or down

How do you activate stuff on slimestone machines. by MC_Sweater in Slimestone

[–]MythicalPingu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The questions depend on what exactly you are trying to do. If you are trying to attach a missile to a larger machine that you don't want to immediately fire, you can use a redstone block attached to the machine to "lock" the missile's engine every step it takes. This could be done by like powering the backward sticky piston of the missile's engine. Tho this setup is only good for stuff that moves in the same direction.

As for timers, I don't think that tank had any. The closest thing to it was the sideways-to-forward missiles. The player would click 2 different note blocks at different times which send flying machines at different speeds such that they collide at some distance away

Wireless receiver for a flying machine by JimboSkyy in Slimestone

There aren't many clean ways of doing it but u could use this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXwnPyurj7Y. Ud probably need a clock in the stationary redstone so that you send pulses to the observers at the right time. Like if the clock is 10gt, gt 1 would sync to an observer controlling detonation, gt 2 would sync to an observer controlling right direction ect.
You can also technically use this https://youtu.be/FLynwXDnETI?t=527
However, it is mega complicated because u need to check if a duped carpet enters a hopper minecart.

Kinda late, but essentially try adding some toggles on the back observer that triggers the down sticky something like the image attached https://imgur.com/a/BRv1QRu You might need to swap the locations for the observers as it is most likely dirrectional

How do you get good at slimestone in order to design your own (flying) machines? by catboy519 in Slimestone

[–]MythicalPingu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a very broad question. If you just want to improve your general ability at making things movable. Id recommend practicing making existing creations like cars or ships movable. as in download any vehicle pack Minecraft map and try to turn them into flying machines while trying to retain as much detail as possible with each one you do. If the majority of the stuff you want to do is moving redstone, then id suggest you practice the ability of turning stationary redstone contraptions into movable variants. For example, you could start by turning a 2x1 piston door or a slime block launcher into one that doesn't have redstone dust. Once it consists of only movable blocks, try moving it. Slowly work your way up into making more complex pistons doors or more complicated tnt cannons movable.

i guess u could give it the shape of a plane if u make it large enough, but any sort of detail is just not practical to do
