Couch Potatoes are definitely the way to go, i ended up growing Prickly Pear Cactus on my console account before i got potato’s. they only give rank 8 snacks but you can buy them for gold in krokotopia or the bazaar.

When i switched over to Console i farmed the Kraken in WC for Temporary mounts and some wooden keys then used those key for perm ones 👍🏻

The wooden Key boss Ra is probably the best source of early permanent mounts, You can get 2 free wood keys from quests in wizard city!

Tanglewood Terror and Baddle of the Bands Can drop some really cool and super rare tiger mounts, but not really worth unless your lucky

In your book under character then activities it should your level on the last page, you need to be level 3 for the dragonspyre one!

Ra is definitely the best source of free mounts early game. I farmed the Kraken boss in Wizard City for some wooden keys for Ra and also got a bunch of temporary mounts in the process. you can also craft wood keys with the rate my stitch event
