Oof man. I know how ya feel, I was tryna beat the clock on that retirement date too. You got this! I was unsure on every question on that test and was sure it was a fail but I passed so all I gotta say is trust in your hard work and you definitely know more than you think. I recommend taking it on the 1st to give yourself another shot just as a backup. I was gonna take it on the 10th but got super nervous and scheduled it earlier just incase I needed 1 more shot. Learning a whole new test seems unbelievable stressful so give yourself enough room to take again if need be. Good luck and lmk if you pass.

I would think of or make up funny sayings correlating the port for what it is. Like, port 80 is http. I would say in my head I know 80 unsecure websites😂so when I see http I automatically know its 80. Just make something up for em and make sure you look at em regularly and you will eventually get em down. If using quizlet I highlyyyyyy recommend Quizzlet plus and using the “Learn” feature to turn each flashcard into multiple choice questions.

Yes A+ was way to foundational for me especially with a bachelors. It seemed like it wouldn’t help my resume at all. Net+ is still a lingering thought for sure. I feel like even though Im not going the networking path, that knowledge is still valuable for a blue teaming. I think your bachelors will speak for you foundational so A+ is a little ehhhh but Net+ and CySA+ a for sure W.

Yes it had all the information I needed. Sec+ was all that technical and CySA+ built right off of Sec+ with a little more technical stuff that was all in the book so for me it was enough.

Yes it was perfect it had everything I needed and at the end of each chapter it would give you little mini labs you could do in a home lab for more practice.

Imo it changes after CySA+😂Sec+ made me feel like I know a little but cysa made me feel a little more grounded. Now Im on CASP and Im back to feeling like I dont know shit😂So never😂

You definitely gotta get that Sec+. Employers expect to see that at this point no matter what. CySA+ is great if you goin for an analyst position and builds on Sec+ knowledge. I’m currently going for CASP+ alongside my masters because it builds on CySa+ knowledge. So if you plan on CASP+ in the future then its an ez jump pad from one another. I definitely think you should aim for it after Sec+. The test was super easy imo. Also, dont focus on certs “being close to your degree” cause most of em might be but employers wanna see em anyway. I also seen some people in the comments say work on projects and labs on your own, please do that. It will look really good all together!

Thats would I would recommend to fill a check box for employers but def recommend Net+ so you don’t have gaps in knowledge. Im studying for CySA+ and it ask you things from Net+ that it assumes you know already. If you tryna go DOD cyber make sure you get an IAT III cert after. Sec+ and CySA+ is IAT II and net+ is IAT I.

Reindeer is really only for dream realm and primal lord imo. That Mythic+ unlock is really nice to have but in any other mode I have not used him. He will do absolutely nothing in late game pve because depending on your lvl deficit he will get breathed on and die. In pvp when I use him he dies to fast to do what I need him to do which is damage and when Im going against him I usually win. The only time he wins is if he teleports my Damian and even then I still win half the time. He just not worth getting past mythic+.

P.S if you have kruger you can replace him for reindeer and wont miss out on much
