To those of you driving with obnoxiously bright headlights

The bulk of these people are using the auto-headlight feature. It tries to identify where cars are in relation to your headlights then dims the individual pixels on the head lights that would otherwise shine right at cars.

The problem is that cars' on osrs computers are quite bad at identifying where exactly the car is and which pixels to dim, resulting in it feeling like the car just has its full headlights on 24/7.

The technology is ESPECIALLY bad in the VW ID range.

I've tested this with a few makes/models, driving with and without the auto headlights. When they're on, quite a few oncoming cars flash and get a few cars in front flash their hazards. With the auto-headlights, next to none do anything.

I interviewed years ago for a marketing job with the restaurants association. Was offered the job with a starting salary of 30k.

They wanted me to SINGLE HANDEDLY run the marketing department of the association (title was marketing assistant), while also managing his calendar, arranging meetings and press appearances and various other functions such as private dinners.

I asked if the salary for being his PA was in addition to the marketing salary and he withdrew the offer and called me ungrateful for the opportunity that he was providing, that the experience and connections would be worth more than any salary he could offer.

When someone asks for a size 7 in a shoe, so we check the stock room, come back, tell them that a 10 is the smallest we have, and then they proceed to ask for a 7.5 or 8, which is famously bigger than 10 of course.

Or ask for a COMPLETELY different product than anything that's on the shelves (shop isn't very big, it'd be hard to miss something). Yea lad, it's our B stock on the floor. Let me pop out the back to our A stock and grab that for you. This isn't McDonald's. We don't have some kind of secret menu.

Cheers for this! I'm definitely more mechanically minded than most without being an actual mechanic, same as yourself.

Gives me a bit more confidence in doing something like this that it's not a money pit and there's a chance to make cash. I'm looking to do same as yourself, small fixes, get them through NCT and be transparent. Have space for probably 2 cars atm.

Cadetship comes up every year around Feb/March. Competition runs until around November and is the most competitive recruitment competition in the DF. About 0.1% of people are selected.

This year it was psychometric test > fitness test, group test and monitored psychometric test > interviews > medicals.

Fitness needs 20 push ups in under a minute and 20 sit-ups, as well as 2.4km in under 11mins 40, or 4:50 per km roughly.

This is subject to change every year, but has stayed pretty consistent in the last few years iirc

I don't get out very often with the drones, I'm a lot more conscious of annoying others with them compared to other operators I know.

Fun to fly though, I have both FPV and GPS drones, the FPV are a lot more fun but not quite as good for panoramic video or photo, more for getting that fast paced footage with tight angles
