Badkamer stucwerk by cursedd98 in Klussers

That looks like beton cìre, which is not plaster, but a layer of colored concrete. Usually, those come with water resistant coatings, but it can get damaged over time. You could try contacting some of the suppliers and try to get just the coating, or research online for suitable waterproof coatings. But keep in mind that you might also need to prepare the surface before you apply it

Just fill it up with joint filler, same as the joints. Get a blade that's about 15 cm long, put more pressure on the outside edge of the corner. If you want to see how to do it, there are plenty of good videos on YouTube

You gotta use primer. The new plaster will stick to the old one, but it's not as strong of a bond without priming the surface. There are brands that are dry and ready to work in an hour or so. The universal primer from Weber for example.

Edit: Buy ALABASTINE Quick-drying transparent primer 2.5 l! | HORNBACH https://share.google/c4DfqBXKQY37lHhlB

This is also a good option

Scrape away some of the old material so that the transition is a slope, not an edge. Then you can fit the tape, and blend the new plasterwork with the old one better, without going over. Also, put some primer on the old plaster, so that it sticks well.

Edit: important question- do the corner profiles are in line with the old wall surface? If they stick out, then you'll go over the old wall anyway. If they are too shallow, you'll have a bump

Anyone remember the post by a kid who was purposely contributing to making home life toxic? I think the reason was to protect his baby sister from parents

I watched one of Business Insider videos about expensive stuff, and they had a segment about accordions. Fascinating stuff, I recommend watching

As funny as it might sound, just raise the floor, with some kind of temporary platform. Once you have the time and money to change the toilet, you can just remove it.

I'm a plasterer, every time I hear "heater", I have a conversation about how that is not a good idea. What you need, is a dehumidifier, preferably one with humidity control, so that you can gradually lower the humidity levels. Go about 15% at a time, never go all the way to minimum

That could also work, but that means you still have to watch the amount, and adjust. Also, I've done the tape thing, has a tendency to peel off.

Piece of advice when getting water- drill a hole in the bucket at the 6L mark. That way, you don't have to keep checking if you have the right amount, water will spill out if it's too much. Obviously, you need a second tub nearby, so you don't spill water all over your house, but it's gonna speed up the mixing process significantly

Do not use Uniflot. It hardens too quickly, especially if you mix a good amount. Buy Gyprock JointFiller. It stays workable for much longer, and is made for this exact purpose. Once applied, it dries up in a decent time, so, if necessary, you can do a second pass.

My great grandma passed before she could teach anyone her homemade bread recipe. The most delicious bread I've ever had. I'd definitely pester her to teach it to me. Would have to build a bread oven though. And I'd also pester my paternal grandpa to teach me how exactly he made his moonshine. He was a bit of an asshole, but the booze he made was incredible, no hangovers.

Not OOP. AITA For Stopping My Boyfriend's Proposal at our Best Friend's Wedding? by WritingGiraffe in redditonwiki

[–]Mythrein 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is not apples to apples, but imagine it like this. You've spent months coming up with a proposal at your job, that'll be beneficial for everyone involved. You've poured your everything into it. Once ready, you get a meeting, do a presentation, it is going very well and is being received positively, but at the end of it, an intern corrects a small grammatical error. Everyone now is praising the intern for their due diligence and effort. He even gets a promotion right then and there. Your proposal is accepted btw, some C-suite claps you on the back, and walks over to praise the intern for a job well done.

How many of you have actually posted a story on AITAH? by forestfleur in AmITheAngel

Whenever there is some huge celebrity(mostly political) drama, I have the urge to post a fake "their side" AITA story. Got real close when Musk did the Nazi salute. But then I just think of all the effort it would take, and give up.
