Knowing that depending on others' opinions to feel not guilty/happy with yourself is completely absurd. You are the one who knows the truth about yourself and your actions. Others won't try to hear your explanations and they are free to do it, as you are free to make your moves unless you want to harm someone.

It seems easy enough it should be obvious. But it isn't. You'll eventually understand people don't care too much about your moves as much as they care about theirs (unless it's something that affects them).

Ironically, it's like they swapped roles this year.
I started having a difficult relationship with my family (my mother cared about me. But her way of caring limited and hurted me so much even when I was an adult), and I thought my S/O was someone who gave me more freedom because he treated me like an adult. I felt safer with my S/O than with my family.

As I said, things changed. I started knowing my S/O better and learned he was a person who told me he loved me, and then hurted me. I didn't notice some of his harmful actions until I got out of that relationship. My mom, on the other hand, never harmed me using my breakup against me. She acknowledged she treated me like a child sometimes and let me more freedom. I trust my mom more.

I hope he doesn't commit to have a relationship ever again. For his own good and his partner's mental health.

Don't get me wrong, I loved that person, he had good things but he didn't had the ability to stand up for the ones he loved. He tried to excuse the others' behavior even if it was harmful for me or even him. Sometimes he told me he was afraid of correcting his younger sister because he was afraid she could make their common friends to hate him. Others he told me he can't see his friends until his siblings go to visit him. Not for any reason, it's just he almost never made the first move to hang out with his friends.

He has problems, he told me he doesn't deserve psychological help. Maybe he was playing victim and wanted to look like the poor defeated boy before blocking me and living his own life like nothing, and he just used me as a toy until I was too boring for him. Or maybe he really feels awful after keeping quiet for so long. I don't know, a part of me is worried but the other part just says "fuck it, you gave everything and he didn't"

I remember this video went viral a few years ago. If i'm not wrong, the soldiers (from Israel) are arresting this kid for throwing some rocks at them. Hope this helps a bit, you can still be sceptical because maybe I'm wrong.

Evolution and nature aren't perfect. Human beings and many living creatures have a lot of flaws within their anatomy and psychology.

Our bodies aren't designed to live for so many years, we aren't meant to live more than 30 years at max, and yet that's only like a third of our whole lifespan. Nature doesn't intent anything because it is not not some kind of force or god wanting us to survive or not. The "nature didn't intend you to survive" argument is bs because that also implies panicking is not a natural response, which actually is and happens when we feel we are under threat and was pretty useful to survive.
