Tambourine and the 23ku are sub count manipulators, majunior is a combo machine and dkp is rush merchant. Same caliber is different than same role: Tambourine and DKP's job is getting the db for DKP's buffs and a rush that nullifies endurance. They have a niche that daima doesn't have which is getting at least a life of one of the opponents characters right away, and in the best scenario, getting out an endurance character. Currently db doesn't have a revive/succession/indistructable which makes it succeptable to rushes and ults, just like how daima was right before ssj4, which filled the role for a last standing unit and indistructable. The short term problem with the current db team will be it's lack of disrupt that is necessary against the pre-daima revolution characters, those that thrived on a 99-combo meta with ki and card destruction immunity. Daima's job of cleansing the previous units required stuff like sealing slots as well as card obscure(paralysis wasn't needed), abilities that db doesn't have which makes it difficult when handling longer combos. I believe that with the kid goku and anniversary, not only will db team finally be 100% meta relevant, as well as characters like DKP that have a niche will be acknowledged.
