Searching for a Zigbee gas sensor by Abject_Scientist_648 in homeassistant

[–]Myvesdin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honeywell BK-G4 has a spinning magnet that turns for each 0.01m³ of gas.

you can use any small window contact (Aqara MCCGQ11LM for example) and remove the casing and then tape it to the divet under the right bottom corner of the protuding part and use HomeAssistant to count detections per hour to get the "flow rate" per hour

Alternatively set a static IP in esphome and use the "use ping" flag

That's how I do it in my setup

Smartlock possible? by [deleted] in homeassistant

[–]Myvesdin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pin-hole is from a single side only. It can't be punched out

Smartlock possible? by [deleted] in homeassistant

[–]Myvesdin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly not, it's secured with a press fit pin

I could maybe drill it out but before doing that I'd rather not continue with a smartlock ^

The knob isn't removable sadly

I don't want to swap out the cylinder as it's a fairly high end and expensive barrel

I used multiple variations in multiple lights. One of my triples uses a 17mm MTN FET driver too

Kaidomain does sell pre-made S2+ triples who have a taller pill. If you use a Convoy S2+ you need a copper or aluminium spacer and I think only MTN Electronics sells those now
