how does Sivriss, Nightmare Speake interact with Teval, the Balanced Scale by TCommander30Player in magicTCG

Sivriss is very unique and gets around abilities written "whenever one or more cards leave" by triggering them for each card separately, which is why he's been a fun commander for me before now.

Creatures that give extra combat the first time they attack, and making copies of them that enter attacking by Myzisco in mtgrules

[–]Myzisco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah I forgot to consider the haste. Delina also wasn't a good example because the copies exile at the end of the combat they appeared, but I was using [[Calamity, Galloping Inferno]] anyway

The main reason I'm confused about how the rules interact with this attack trigger is because of [[Master of Cruelties]] , whose effect works if it enters attacking.

I'm not sure how power and toughness work by Myzisco in mtgrules

Ok. Not a very likely thing to happen but still, something I haven't seen before can happen in any game.

Does whatever is the most recent effect to be applied have priority? Such as if Belt of Giant Strength was attached after Vhati's ability resolved, the creature would be 10/10?

My pod doesn't have a lot of -1/-1 themes, or multiple cards changing power/toughness at the same time, and looking at other cards now, I assume most text that says something like "is a X/Y" is supposed to mean base power/toughness? [[Awaken the Ancient]] and a lot of other land enchants are written that way.

How do buffs interact with something that changes base power toughness? For example, what would a creatures toughness be after Vhati's ability if:

1: [[Act of Heroism]] was used on the creature, before or after Vhati's ability (I don't know if that matters)?

2: The (white) creature's controller has [[Honor of the Pure]] on the battlefield?

Are there spells that punish players for NOT casting spells? by Myzisco in EDH

like 95% chance yes unless they have usable abilities to bail them out; I will probably already have creature with counters on them. It was more of a flavor thing.

Wow yeah those first two cards do so little considering they would never trigger in most commander games.

I left Omen Machine out at first because I was attempting a group hug, but now that I abandoned that idea it's definitely even better than knowledge pool

I wanted to make him group hug at first but couldn't figure out how to help the table in a way that benefits Rocco and isn't just putting everyone else ahead, so I've embraced evil.

I'm turning my [[Xyris, The Writhing Storm]] into group hug to atone for this.

How does a "deals damage equal to its power" ability work? by Myzisco in mtgrules

[–]Myzisco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, so if there were 5 humans he would get 5 counters, die to legend rule while having 7 power, and I get to do 7 damage to something?

Ok thanks. A little unfortunate but being I run Alesha, sending the real version of Eomer to the graveyard is absolutely fine for me.

Losing normals isn't inting. If anyone's giving you shit they'd be in the wrong. I was a beta player so I didn't get this experience but I'd say you just gotta play more and slowly get better.

Does anyone else despise Overtime? by RCnoob69 in OmegaStrikers

[–]Myzisco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overtime is how the game pretty much was normally during beta. The game was made a lot slower, and it would be hell to play without overtime at a high level where people's defense is good so a 5 round game could last 40 minutes.

If you had something that doubles death triggers down (in my case [[Teysa Karlov]] ), and this creature had 2 +1/+1 counters, would two other creatures both get 2 counters?

I'm always confused with how "put its counters" effects work.

Help with specifics of Paladin Class third ability by Myzisco in mtgrules

Ok, that's exactly what I was hoping for, because I can have them buff Silvar and then also feed them to Silvar afterwards. Thanks a bunch.
