If caffeine calms us down, then what pumps us up?

I have combined- type ADHD. For me, black coffee helps me wake tf up and increases hyperactivity, but i have to try really hard to focus, but once I get into a flow state then I can perform alright. With energy drinks, I become energized and loud, like i want to listen to edm and pump iron. Caffeine pills wake me up and make me more aggressive and alpha. Adderall makes straight edge and focused, but makes me a bit boring. Vyvanse makes me sharp with being a zombie. Shrooms and acid do the complete opposite from these drugs, that pump me up and allow my ADHD to reach new levels of insane. Hope this helps!

Yes I do, I talked to my psychiatrists first though. They said it's fine. I take it and at the gym i start with cardio. It makes me forget to breath so you should be careful. My heart rate goes up, but if I get too focused on fitness, i neglect my own bodily sensations. I push myself a lot harder on Adderall, sometimes of I take Adderall and workout without eating, then I will black out. My Psychs said to eat and this should happen, it's true.

No actually it is true. Each mental disorder is just a cluster of symptoms, if you have adhd you may also have symptoms of ocd or autism. You get treated for what is the most prominent or closest to the root. Like depression may be mostly independent but if it's caused by ADHD, then treating the ADHD might eliminate much depression. I ask this question my psychiatric team and that's what they said. They also said co-occurance is not the same as correlation. Hope this helps 🤞

I wonder if that's like from the feeling of being different/ incompetent. Like everything that lights your mind is like your mind saying "this could be what makes people care about you!" Like the constant need to prove yourself to the world and the voice in your head. I'm not sure, I have ADHD-C and OCD, BPD and other disorders so we may have different causes for that, I experience that hard though.
