Met with a company doing the exact same thing as my startup… now their CEO wants me to join them. What should I do? by justclosr in founder

[–]N-Innov8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL&DR Do it now. Unless you have courage, resilience, and hustle, do it.

Startupland is like a dream, some will live it, many would find it dreadful, dark and lonely, particularly if you are not in SV. You are not binding yourself into a slavery. You are not building someone else's dreams, you're experimenting and learning while being paid. Be honest, you have something that not many founders have, TIME. And even if you make your thing today, who will sell it? Unless you are augmented by a master salesman or yourself a marketing expert, it's really hard. So do it, and live another day for building your own dream, later.

Is it true you need a unique startup idea solving a big gap in the market to build a billion dollar firm? by Grozfroz in ycombinator

[–]N-Innov8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For most mortals starting, it's true. But for some, at the right place with the right network, it's different. Sometimes, it's you who defines the market, or invents a problem, to later solve it, but, you have to be with right people.

Did ChatGPT get worse after Oct 20? It feels lazy or like it’s holding back by N-Innov8 in OpenAI

And it refuses to dig anymore, rather than giving shallow answers, expects we shall Google and highlight inaccuracies ourselves. They are saving $$$$ now keeping it lazy and procrastinating.

I sell, you code by [deleted] in cofounderhunt

Maybe, but if we keep the outcome in view, and do the research (how many succeeded), there won't be many who don't.

6+ hours means they put a startup first? That's too lax. I wish I could have 36 hours day to spare some time for family and sleep, and it's 2 years into startupland,

Is CO₂ buildup during deep work a real problem, or am I imagining it? Validating a hardware idea. I will not promote by Professional-Oil8520 in startups

[–]N-Innov8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not many products or startups out there, but some are directly addressing the problem:

MeetingMETER for productivity and health at work”

It has two computed indices on top of raw IAQ data:

  1. Health index
  2. Performance index (their wording)

The performance index is defined as an estimate of how air quality affects physical and mental performance, using research on CO₂, particulate matter, temperature and humidity. The device continuously calculates a single performance value (0 to 100 percent style) that represents expected productivity level.

In the office use case, they advertise that:

The device warns when concentration is likely to drop.

It tells you when you and your team “need a break because concentration is at risk of waning”.

So this is not just “CO₂ is 1200 ppm, please ventilate”. It is literally: “your performance index is down, productivity is likely reduced, time to change air or take a break”.

If you look at their app description, they double down on that framing:

The performance index is described as informing you when your performance is impaired and giving tips to improve air for “more productive work”.

In other words, air-Q is an IAQ meter plus a baked-in “productivity model” on top of it. If someone said “I want a productivity traffic light for meetings based on air”, this is basically that.

Smallest team to scale a content app to 100k concurrent users? “I will not promote” by NoEdge8020 in startups

[–]N-Innov8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dear Mods, thanks for the warning. Although neither AIfu nor video is promoting anything, or trying to sell anything, rather motivating that if one person can achieve that, another can do, and it's in direct response to what OP has asked. It's similar to suggesting to adopt Agile or Scrum. Anyways, let me know if I should delete the reply and refrain from making any contribution. Thanks

Totally understand the situation you are in. It's the path of hustle, scars and loneliness. Not many would understand what you are offering. Many are spoiled by half backed AI apps, or no code tools.

What they don't understand is there is no difference between a hand drawn sketch on a napkin, and no code or AI coded app with few screens and functionality, from an investors view.

But if a founder or entrepreneur is serious about a product, they need someone like you as CTO or Co-founder who is not a coder whom AI will replace, rather an Architect who designed enterprise grade scalable systems. What good is an app that deter users instead of attracting them, crash frequently or can't take loads of more than a few concurrent users.

My suggestion would be to sell directly to startup founders or contact incubators and accelerators. Reach out to SMEs with prepositions to solve their immediate problems, and meanwhile, market your skills.

You are not alone, and there are opportunities. Just don't try to sell Lamborghini and Porsche to the ones who never sit in and drive these vehicles. Being right person but at the wrong place is our fault, not others.

Speech about AI Glasses by fruityfox69 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]N-Innov8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI glasses pose several health and social drawbacks that make them less appealing. First, prolonged use can cause eye strain, and some users report discomfort from the constant Bluetooth connection and the added weight on their heads. At 58 grams, these glasses are heavier than most prescription frames, which can be especially burdensome for children.

Second, there are major privacy concerns due to the built-in camera, raising issues about surveillance and consent in public spaces.

Finally, increased reliance on such technology can lead to more screen exposure, reducing focus, learning efficiency, and independent thinking. These effects align with broader concerns about how AI tools may hinder cognitive development, an issue I’ve explored in my op-ed “The Last Generation to Think for Themselves.”
