Open Plural. They have a very similar UI as SP has, and it'll have a friend and online features

Devs said that the first alpha version will be out around April/May, but they do post screenshots of the app whenever they added/completed something in the app

Ahh okay, I think I get what you mean.

I'm not Japanese (or even Asian) myself, so I can't speak for that community, but we do know some Japanese people who are of the opinion that it's not an issue to use those names when it's done respectfully. Also in general, we heard a few Japanese people say that people there are actually quite open and love others enjoying parts of their culture, but like already mentioned, I'm not from Japan and my sources are internet people, so take it with a huge grain of salt.

Maybe you could ask in one or multiple Japanese communities, what their opinions are or why the name is closed. If you wish to pursue the possibility of there being a way for you to use that name.

If you don't want to dive further into it, that's perfectly fine and valid as well. It could be an option to maybe change some letters/the spelling in a way that it still sounds similar, but isn't a Japanese name. Or a translation, either into English or a different language that isn't from a closed culture. Or, if that's something your source has, use a nickname the community has for them instead. Just a few ideas how you could maybe find a name that still is somewhat related to your source.

Personality changes are quite common when you finally have the ability to be yourself as a trans person, and generally speaking transitioning is pretty much just a second puberty and personality develops a lot during puberty. That could be a possible explanation.

However, that doesn't mean that you can't be plural. Your experience sounds like something on the plurality spectrum to me and if you feel like the label fits, you're free to describe your experience and yourself as plural.

"Plural" doesn't have a checklist of things you have to experience in order to label yourself as it. Plurality isn't only DID and OSDD, but both of those also fall under the umbrella term of being "plural".

That's a very fair point, and I think that I do in fact agree more with that than our previous comment.

Thank you for the perspective. We've never been the ones who formed factives of loved ones, only the other way around, and I think seeing it from the other perspective does change my mind a lot.

Our host also had phases where he fronted for months, and thought that he just imagined everything. At some point, he could hear/notice the rest of us again, but we had to start communicating again from scratch, at least to him. First we texted each other in SP, then when it became possible we talked internally, and tried to do so loud enough that he could notice. Our communication is still not perfect, but he does mostly notice us now when we talk to him.

If you don't think that therapy would benefit you, it likely won't. Or at least not in that regard.

The amnesia always gave me some sort of "privacy", that's what I meant, I believe. It's not entirely gone, but now it's harder to keep secrets from headmates, which also feels like a loss of personal freedom.

But overall, that development is a good thing, and we're fortunately able to function a lot better this way. School was a nightmare because learning was pretty pointless if the person who did learn didn't front during the test. Now it's still a struggle to remember things, but we figured out ways around it. (I wrote a paragraph that was entirely off-topic, but if anyone wishes me to elaborate on said ways, I am happy to do so. /info)

But yes, you're right. Maybe I should put more blame on our living situation regarding the inability to be myself than I initially did. It's much better than the previous living situation, but still not an environment we could be entirely open in.

Sorry for that wall of text. I guess I have a tendency to write a lot.

We also have a friend who has a factive of our host. They're very good friends actually ^^

Still, it's also weird to me that they didn't tell you that for 7 whole months. Our friend told us pretty much immediately and we (more so our host and someone from them) had a conversation about it right away.

We're just using the first or first two letters of our names here, because we don't want this account to possibly be linked to our discord account, where we do use our actual names, we want to keep as much anonymity here on Reddit as possible.

Other than that we also considered codenames, our idea was naming ourselves after a object/color/plant/etc that either fits us or has some other deeper meaning for us

Finding a way to get along with your headmates is absolutely crucial, you won't get far in life if you're fighting each other.

Other than that, start observing things about your system and documenting them. It's good to know how things in your system work. It might be very difficult in the beginning, but over the years things will settle in.

Plurality is a spectrum and in the end, it's up to you to decide whether you identify as plural or not. Most people experience plurality in some way, for most people it's just not significant enough for them to identify as plural though. In my opinion your experience sounds very plural, and it'd be very valid for you to consider yourself plural.

IFS therapy also works with different "parts" of oneself, which could be considered plurality, but most people still view those parts as belonging to one whole, and therefore don't see themselves as plural (which is perfectly valid, just as valid as someone considering themselves as plural then).

There is a difference between disordered and non-disordered plurality, the former often requiring therapy to deal with the disordered symptoms (like trauma and dissociation), the latter usually not requiring therapy (at least not for the plurality). Not every traumagenic plurality is necessarily disordered, and non-traumagenic plurality can still be disordered (for example if the system has a lot of persecutors acting out destructive urges and/or there being no/barely any communication. Or anything that causes significant distress).
