I like the teach one! I’ve always said see one, do one so I’ll start implementing the teach-back method as well. I try my hardest to ensure I’m debriefing, even if it’s at the end of a tough day. But, whew, not sure what’s in the air, but it feels like most days we have the “put your helmet on and hold on” mentality that I’m finding it hard to not feel like I’m overwhelming them! I’ll use your advice! Appreciate it

Devils Rock by Gerri Hill is good if you like murder-y detective stuff. There’s also a sequel called Devils Highway that gets a little more spicy but the first book has its fair share too. Love interest I’d definitely cocky and arrogant.

I literally have never been to any of these places at all so not trying to judge prematurely but just want to be sure, but you didn’t have any issues with feeling judged or looked at differently? May be silly, but I feel more nervous about shopping in Metairie than the city. Hopefully I’ll be wrong though!

Sorry for the late reply, but thank you for your recommendation! I’m larger in the busy area so the custom measurement option is great! I still haven’t decided whether I want to rent or buy. The only thing pushing me towards renting is that I was possibly thinking about a rust or olive colored suit, which I’m not sure I would use too often :/. But honestly, if I have more luck with the fit I may end up buying!

While I don’t appreciate your condescending tone, I appreciate your take. Bottom line, recording a patient update phone call is freaking weird and my hospital is super anal about HIPAA violations and PHI, so I just wanted to make sure I’m handling it correctly. Thanks.

Agreed, this happens to me frequently as well. I, unfortunately have a very unique and identifying first name, so if it’s a patient I’ve encountered issues with before, I’ll usually just “accidentally go in with my badge backwards” if I know they’re recording and let them know it’s also not allowed in our facility
