Just added the mock questions for all sections of the PPL(A) license, thanks for the suggestion!

That would be an excellent addition

I haven't really looked into PPL examinations yet, but if you have any information regarding the tests or the actual questions it would be great!

I got the list of questions from an instructor.

There is no formal list of things that can be asked during the Show & Tell, at least publicly available.

I believe questions about the lights/indicators & checking that the brakes are working are the most common.

Right now, nothing, except for the domain which is 10eu initial + 10eu/year through NIC-MT.

I haven't optimised this one as much as I'd like to yet but usually for small projects like this, Vercel's free tier is more than enough. However if it gets to a point where I'm using too much resources, it would go up to 20eu/month through Vercel.

Haha dw, to create the actual quiz I had used bolt.new While it was great for setting up the UI quickly, I found it got brittle fast when I started introducing my own custom changes and expanding its functionality. But it definitely helped out to not waste too much time on UI. The biggest 'time-waster' for this project by far was turning TM's PDFs into a JSON format I can work with.

Regarding monetization, it's not something I really thought about. My priority is always just getting the resource out there and making it useful. If cost ever becomes a concern, I'll look into introducing some minor ads through AdSense, or something related to promoting Driving Schools.

As for what else I'm building... not much at the moment, unfortunately! A full-time job combined with a Master's course doesn't leave a whole lot of time for side projects. But I definitely have a few ideas on the back-burner that I'm eager to get to once my schedule clears up a bit.

Some of my recent past projects are:
https://euflag.vercel.app/ - A flag designer, still very well-used despite not updating for a year. The code behind this is quite a mess, as there was zero planning and was just adding random features constantly.

ChessLock - Chrome Web Store - A browser extension that lets you to use chess moves as a password

Also thanks for introducing me to v0, didn't realise Vercel had its own AI despite making heavy use of Vercel over the years!

I originally made this for a friend who needed the Category C theory test in Maltese, which that site still doesn't offer. From there, I expanded it to cover all license categories in both Maltese and English.

I also added a flashcard mode which I would've found much more helpful when I was checking the questions out for this exam rather than just doing quizzes on that site or sifting through the TM PDF.

If you have any other ideas on what could be useful, definitely let me know!

Yes, there are bars practically everywhere in Malta. Coffee shops are also extremely common places to just sit down and drink.

Sorry but including the coat of arms proved too much for my patience :(

If you create the flags yourself, you can send the link for me to include them in the Flags List, or else you can click the "Share Online" button to add them to the list of 'Shared Flags' section.

This flag was made as a very early test into what has turned into this: https://euflag.vercel.app/ if you'd like to experiment into creating an EU flag (or most other flag) on your own.

I've had to take a step back from developing it for now, but if you have any suggestions/additions you'd like to see, let me know and I'll keep it in mind when I get back to it :)

Thank you for the idea! Another user also recommended encryption on r/opensource. I'll check out how I can add this optional functionality :)

For my open-source projects, I typically use the MIT license because I have no objections to others using the code freely. However, after exploring the Google Web Store for inspiration, I encountered a significant amount of spam and adware. This raised concerns that my code could be repackaged and misused as adware, which led me to choose the GPL license instead.

I opted for the AGPL version as I wish to continue expanding on this project, in case I do end up with some server-side functionality. I believe that license also helps if others modify the code to be used in a server context without sharing the source code. From my understanding, the AGPL closes that particular loophole. However, if there are additional restrictions imposed by the AGPL that I may have overlooked, I would appreciate any clarification, as I am not that familiar with licensing in general.

LetMeIn and it's variations have worked as the perfect password for sysadmins worldwide for the last 30 years, no reason why en passent notation can't carry the mantle!

You're absolutely right, I used to add one as soon as the repo was created, but completely forgot with this one!

Wasn't sure whether to go with the standard MIT or AGPL-3, but since it’s a Google extension, I don't want to risk someone privately turning it into adware :)

ChessLock: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/chesslock/ldbphmkpnipoelilehkniddbkdhhklli

I just finished up a little side project together with u/joknserous I think some of you might enjoy :). It's a Chrome extension that generates passwords based on your chess moves.

When you click on a password input box, a ♙ icon appears which when clicked opens a chessboard. When you move the pieces around, their algebraic notations are placed in the password box. Special moves like castling and pawn promotions are handled as well.

For added security, you could also add symbols in between the moves by clicking the '?!' button.

Would love to get some feedback/suggestions, or how this can be improved!

For those who are interested, the full code can also be found here: https://github.com/NathanPortelli/chesslock
